Filiación derivada de técnicas de reproducción humana asistida: Bebés medicamento

2018

High order finite difference schemes for hyperbolic conservation laws on complex domains: extrapolation and time integration techniques

2016

Polyoxypregnanes as safe, potent, and specific ABCB1-inhibitory pro-drugs to overcome multidrug resistance in cancer chemotherapy in vitro and in vivo

2021

Multidrug resistance (MDR) mediated by ATP binding cassette subfamily B member 1 (ABCB1) is significantly hindering effective cancer chemotherapy. However, currently, no ABCB1-inhibitory drugs have been approved to treat MDR cancer clinically, mainly due to the inhibitor specificity, toxicity, and drug interactions. Here, we reported that three polyoxypregnanes (POPs) as the most abundant constituents of Marsdenia tenacissima (M. tenacissima) were novel ABCB1-modulatory pro-drugs, which underwent intestinal microbiota-mediated biotransformation in vivo to generate active metabolites. The metabolites at non-toxic concentrations restored chemosensitivity in ABCB1-overexpressing cancer cells v…

A Simple System Based on a Thiourea-Modified Fluorescein for ω-Amino Acid Discrimination

2015

A thiourea-modified fluorescein derivative was synthesized by reaction of fluorescein isothiocyanate with 2-(2-aminoethoxy)ethan-1-ol. UV/Vis absorption and fluorescence emission spectroscopy studies demonstrated that this heteroditopic receptor was able to discriminate among linear aliphatic ω-amino acids with different chain lengths.

Isocratic high-performance liquid chromatographic determination of tryptophan in infant formulas.

1996

The application to infant formulas of a method for tryptophan determination by isocratic HPLC with UV detection at 254 nm, after derivatization with phenyl isothiocyanate, was studied. Protein was hydrolysed by barium hydroxide at 120 degrees C for 8 h, followed by derivatization with phenyl isothiocyanate, HPLC and UV detection at 254 nm. The optimum chromatographic conditions (pH, ionic strength of elution solvent and eluent ratio) were established. The analytical parameters (linearity, precision, accuracy of derivatization and limits of detection and quantification) were determined. The values obtained demonstrated that the method is useful for determining the tryptophan content of infan…

A comparative study of the performance of acetonitrile and methanol in the multi-linear gradient separation of proteic primary amino acids

2006

The performance of the separation of proteic primary amino acids using multi-linear gradients of acetonitrile and methanol was studied under an experimental-design basis, using an Inertsil ODS-3 column and pre-column derivatization with o-phthaldialdehyde (OPA) and N-acetyl-l-cysteine (NAC). Elution strength, peak properties, resolution, and analysis time, were examined. The optimal separation was established through modeling, using information obtained from isocratic data. By optimizing the separation with gradients of increasing complexity, acceptable resolution was possible, being glycine/threonine the critical pair. Multi-criteria decision-making (Derringer desirabilities) was applied t…

Determination of free formaldehyde in cosmetics containing formaldehyde-releasing preservatives by reversed-phase dispersive liquid-liquid microextra…

2017

Abstract An analytical method for the determination of traces of formaldehyde in cosmetic products containing formaldehyde-releasing preservatives has been developed. The method is based on reversed-phase dispersive liquid–liquid microextraction (RP-DLLME), that allows the extraction of highly polar compounds, followed by liquid chromatography–ultraviolet/visible (LC–UV/vis) determination with post-column derivatization. The variables involved in the RP-DLLME process were studied to provide the best enrichment factors. Under the selected conditions, a mixture of 500 μL of acetonitrile (disperser solvent) and 50 μL of water (extraction solvent) was rapidly injected into 5 mL of toluene sampl…

First Protection of a Wide-Rim Tetraamino Calix[4]arene in Opposite Positions

2007

The importance of tetraamino calix[4]arenes as starting materials is distinctly increased by the first versatile protective group for opposite amino functions. Reaction with trityl chloride leads to the 1,3-dialkylated derivative easily isolated in 34% yield; after a first acylation of the remaining amino groups, the trityl residues can be removed by TFA to introduce a second acyl group.
