In 16th century Sicily, in order to deal with the incursions of the Turks and Barbary, the Spanish viceroy government put in place the construction of some maritime forts in order to defend the coasts of the island. Among these, in the port city of Augusta, Avalos fort was built around 1570, a small modern fortification characterized by the particular semicircular floor plan, capable of having a wide radius of action. International audience; Very little research has been done on how students use resources when studying mathematics. My project aim to examine this both quantitatively and qualitatively. The qualitative data collection includes hierarchical focus interviews and schematic representation of resource system, with the intent to impose as little terminology as possible on the students.

La documentazione sui piani urbanistici è caratterizzata da un alto grado di dispersione presso una molteplicità di soggetti anche molto distanti tra loro che detengono parti tutte significative se raccolte in un unico regesto. A questa dispersione si aggiunge la difficoltà di accesso ai depositi, sia per mancanza di informazioni sul loro contenuto, sia per impraticabilità spesso imputabile alla facile deperibilità degli oggetti, sia allo stato di abbandono di molti archivi.
