Permutations of zero-sumsets in a finite vector space

Abstract In this paper, we consider a finite-dimensional vector space 𝒫 {{\mathcal{P}}} over the Galois field GF ( p ) {\operatorname{GF}(p)} , with p being an odd prime, and the family ℬ k x {{\mathcal{B}}_{k}^{x}} of all k-sets of elements of 𝒫 {\mathcal{P}} summing up to a given element x. The main result of the paper is the characterization, for x = 0 {x=0} , of the permutations of 𝒫 {\mathcal{P}} inducing permutations of ℬ k 0 {{\mathcal{B}}_{k}^{0}} as the invertible linear mappings of the vector space 𝒫 {\mathcal{P}} if p does not divide k, and as the invertible affinities of the affine space 𝒫 {\mathcal{P}} if p divides k. The purpose of this study was to describe the contents of type 2 diabetes patient self-management counselling documentation, how counselling of self- management appeared in various content areas and how patients’ self- management competence developed during the counselling. The research data consisted of nurses’ documentations from type 2 diabetes patient self- management counselling situations (N = 60) in primary health care. Motorisen oppimisen vaikeudella, kuten kehityksellisellä koordinaatiohäiriöllä (DCD), tarkoitetaan huomattavaa vaikeutta oppia uusia motorisia taitoja ja soveltaa jo opittuja taitoja uusiin tilanteisiin. Tämän tutkimuksen tarkoituksena oli kehittää opettajien käyttöön havainnointityökalu, joka auttaa tunnistamaan motorisen oppimisen vaikeuden esi- ja alkuopetusikäisillä lapsilla. Public-service provision in clientelist political settlements: Lessons from Ghana's urban water sector

The politics of public-service delivery continues to be neglected under the supposedly more context-sensitive post-Washington Consensus. Using interviews and documentary evidence from Ghana, this article provides an account of the networks of political interference and informal practices in Ghana's public water utility. It argues that, in order to understand why private-sector participation succeeds or fails and why similar arrangements have different outcomes across developing countries, we need to examine the effects of the informal institutional context, particularly the country-specific political settlement in which public-service provision operates.

This paper purports to shed light on primary school teachers’ initial training in the field of creative writing, rewriting and rough draft practices. It analyses a corpus of various pieces of writing by school children and trainee teachers, collected through the implementation of a teaching unit using authors’ and children’s literature writers’ drafts and working documents with children aged 8-11 (CE2-CM) on the one hand, and with trainee teachers on the other. As part of a seminar on introduction to research, these trainee teachers thus questioned their own writing practices, their conception of rewriting and their teaching practices
