Dense Solid-Liquid Suspensions in Top-Covered Unbaffled Stirred Vessels

In the present work solids suspension is investigated in an unbaffled tank stirred by a Rushton turbine and provided with a top-cover in order to avoid the formation of the well known central vortex. The data obtained are compared with those pertaining baffled stirred tanks via comparison with the well known Zwietering’s correlation. The dependence of Njs on particle concentration is found to be similar to that well established for baffled vessels, while, as a difference from the latter, Njs is found to decrease when liquid viscosity increases. On the performance of the Spanish teachers that accompanied the so called «Children of Morelia» expedition, the specialists that have dealt with the topic so far have made a severe negative judgment. In this work we bring to light, for the first time and through unpublished documentation, the repeated initiatives that these teachers took to try to complete their guardian mission, which could not be carried out completely due to the position of the Mexican authorities.

Measurement of the charge asymmetry in top quark pair production in pp collisions at root s=7 TeV using the ATLAS detector

A measurement of the top-antitop production charge asymmetry A[subscript C] is presented using data corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 1.04 fb[superscript −1] of pp collisions at s√=7 TeV collected by the ATLAS detector at the LHC. Events are selected with a single lepton (electron or muon), missing transverse momentum and at least four jets of which at least one jet is identified as coming from a b-quark. A kinematic fit is used to reconstruct the t[bar over t] event topology. After background subtraction, a Bayesian unfolding procedure is performed to correct for acceptance and detector effects. In multi-aspect search, the information need of the user consists of more than one aspect or query simultaneously. In this paper, the authors discuss the legal liabilities of the professional engineer as both the engineer of record of a project and the construction site manager. In particular, this paper analyzes the case of a fire at an end-user MV/LV substation of a shopping center in Italy, occurred a few years after maintenance works on the electrical installation. The professional engineer who had designed and overseen the construction of the substation was accused of criminal negligence. This article deals with the series of re-appripriation and re-editing of twe single images produced by the Republican side during the Spanish Civil War: the one representing the execution of the statue of Christ at the Hill of Angels at the end of July-beginning of August 1936, and the one depicting the desecration of the mumies of nuns taken in Barcelona the same month. Both in photography and in film support were the object of propaganda purposes from the Francoist side and even they appeared in Nazi and Italian Fascist footage. The chapter traces its transformation until the present.
