This chapter explores how experientially based pedagogical activities that involve participation in real life service encounters provide occasions for developing L2 interactional competence. The data comprises novice L2 students’ self-recorded interactions in service settings and videorecordings of classroom planning activities and de-briefing discussions, where the students reflect on their experiences. The analysis traces what kinds of occasions for learning arise as the students move between the classroom and the real-world service settings. The Predictors of Literacy Skills among Monolingual and Bilingual Finnish–Swedish Children During First Grade

The aim of the study was to examine which predictor variables are related to literacy skills among monolingual Swedish (n = 269) and bilingual Finnish–Swedish (n = 229) children at the first grade in the Swedish-speaking schools in Finland. The participants were assessed in phonological awareness, letter knowledge, rapid automatized naming (RAN), word recognition, reading fluency, and spelling. The results showed that RAN was the most significant predictor of reading and spelling skills in both language groups, and monolingual children performed significantly better in RAN. El objetivo de este artículo es analizar los derechos de propiedad intelectual sobre los trabajos elaborados por quienes cursan estudios universitarios, con particular referencia a los TFG, TFM y tesis doctorales que se realizan en el ámbito de la ciencia jurídica. Para ello, en primer lugar, se examina la posibilidad de que el trabajo de investigación sea merecedor de la condición de obra; en segundo lugar, se clarifica la cuestión relativa a la titularidad de los derechos de autor sobre estos trabajos; y, en tercer lugar, se reflexiona en torno a la obligación de dejar las obras en repositorios institucionales de acceso abierto.
