A no-carrier-added 72Se/72As radionuclide generator based on distillation

Abstract Arsenic-72 is a positron emitting isotope with promising properties for syntheses of 72As-labelled radiopharmaceuticals for future application in positron emission tomography. This work describes the radiochemical separation of no-carrier-added 72Se from cyclotron irradiated germanium targets and the development of a 72Se/72As radionuclide generator, avoiding the addition of any selenium carrier. Using a vertical quartz tube device, no-carrier-added 72As is nearly quantitatively released from various chloride salt solutions containing 72Se within 10 min at a temperature of 100 °C in an HCl gas flow. 0νββ and 2νββ nuclear matrix elements in the interacting boson model with isospin restoration

We introduce a method for isospin restoration in the calculation of nuclear matrix elements (NMEs) for 0νββ and 2νββ decay within the framework of the microscopic interacting boson model (IBM-2). With this method, we calculate the NMEs for all processes of interest in 0νβ−β− and 2νβ−β− and in 0νβ+β+, 0νECβ+, R0νECEC, 2νβ+β+, 2νECβ+, and 2νECEC. With this method, the Fermi matrix elements for 2νββ vanish, and those for 0νββ are considerably reduced. peerReviewed

Neutrino–nuclear responses associated with astro-neutrinos, single beta decays and double beta decays are crucial in studies of neutrino properties of interest for astro-particle physics. The present report reviews briefly recent studies of the neutrino–nuclear responses from both experimental and theoretical points of view in order to obtain a consistent understanding of the many facets of the neutrino–nuclear responses. Vērojot skolēnu svešvalodu stundās, tika secināts, ka skolēniem problēmas sagādā tieši valodas lietojums – runāšana. Skolēni baidās un nespēj brīvi izteikties. Pēc uzaicinājuma izteikt savu viedokli vai īsi pastāstīt par tēmu, skolēni nevēlas izteikties un bieži klusē. Šī pētījuma mērķis ir izvērtēt, cik efektīva ir drāmas elementu izmantošana vācu valodas stundās runāšanas prasmes attīstības veicināšanā, kā arī izanalizēt to ietekmi attiecībā uz pārējām valodas prasmēm. Uzdevumi, kuri ir vispiemērotākie angļu valodas apmācībai pirmskolas vecumā ir tie, kas ietver dziesmas ar kustību un rotaļu elementiem, dzejoļus, stāstus, spēles un daudzas citas aktivitātes. Diplomdarba autore uzskata, ka viens no labākiem mācību un vārdu krājuma apguves veidiemdiem ir dziesmas ar kustību un rotaļu elementiem. Effects of bioheapleaching technology utilizing metal mine emissions on fish in boreal freshwaters

Emissions from metal mining activities are known to deteriorate the quality of aquatic habitats and impair the condition and reproductive potential of fish. Metal extraction by biomining methods has been considered to cause fewer emissions, but for example in Finland, the impacts of a bioheapleaching technology utilizing metal mine on the local freshwaters have been substantial. In this thesis, the impacts of the bioheapleaching mine emissions on three native fish species, brown trout (Salmo trutta) European perch (Perca fluviatilis) and whitefish (Coregonus lavaretus pallasi), were investigated. Factors controlling hydrochemical and trophic state variables in 86 shallow lakes in Europe

In order to disentangle the causes of variations in water chemistry among European shallow lakes, we performed standardised sampling programs in 86 lakes along a latitudinal gradient from southern Spain to northern Sweden. Lakes with an area of 0.1 to 27 000 ha and mean depth of 0.4–5.6 m located in low to high altitudes were investigated within the EC project ECOFRAME 1–4 times during June–October 2000–2001. Several variables like conductivity, alkalinity, abundance of submerged plants, concentrations of suspended solids, total nitrogen and phosphorus were latitude-dependent decreasing from south to north. This study explores how teachers' attitudes and competencies influence their willingness to adopt mobile learning approaches. By mobile learning we mean teaching approaches that use mobile devices to enliven and extend traditional teaching. Of particular interest is exploring how first-order (e.g. lack of adequate access, time, training and support) and secondorder (e.g. teacher's pedagogical and technological beliefs and willingness to change) barriers affect teachers' beliefs and attitudes. Die vollstandige Reihe der Methyl-Substitutionsprodukte des Bis(η-benzol)chrom(I)+·-Radikalkations sowie ausgewahlte deuterierte Derivate desselben wurden in Losung und in glasartig erstarrtem Medium ESR-spektroskopisch untersucht. 1H-, 2D- und 53Cr-Hyperfeinparameter werden mitgeteilt und das Proton/Deuteron-Kopplungskonstantenverhaltnis wird diskutiert. Die Betrage von a(1HAren) und a(1HMethyl) variieren innerhalb enger Grenzen (3,454,15 bzw. 0,50,7 G), wobei a(1HAren) mit zunehmendem Methylierungsgrad zunimmt.
