Synthesis of ZnO–Ag2CO3–Fe3O4@rGO core–shell structure: magnetically separable photocatalyst for degradation of MB using the Box–Behnken design
2020
In this work, a simple microwave method was utilized to prepare ZnO sheet linked with Fe3O4@rGO core–shell and of Ag2CO3 through formation of the quadri-photocatalytic with high activity. The microstructure, morphology, spectroscopic, and magnetic characteristics of the prepared samples were assessed using XRD, SEM, PL, TEM, FT-IR, DLS, and VSM analysis. The photocatalytic activity of the material was evaluated for photodegradation of methylene blue dye under the UV and visible light with home-made photoreactor. The response surface method in a Box–Behnken design was utilized to design the experiments. The parameters affecting the efficiency of the degradation including, pH (5–9), photocata…
Experimental studies on uniaxial and echibiaxial tensile tests applied to plastic materials sheets
2019
Abstract The main objective of this paper is to determine the behavior of few plastic materials using two different type of tests. We use classical uniaxial tensile test to determine the most important mechanical and elastic characteristics, such as: yield stress, Young modulus, tangent modulus, maximum stress and maximum strain and to plot engineering stress vs. engineering strain curve for these materials. The second test, that was used in this study, was echibiaxial tensile test on the spherical punch. This test was used to determine maximum breaking force and, of course maximum displacement of specimen on punch direction and others few important characteristics, such as: major and minor…
Aza and cyanobridged tripodal dinuclear copper(II) complexes: Electrochemical studies and structural evidence for an original azacyanocarbanion
2014
International audience; The reactivity of the mononuclear [Cu(TMPA)(L)] n+ complex (TMPA: tris(2-methylpyridine) amine, L: CH3CN, H2O) towards two different bridging species (tetracyanoethylene, 4,40-bipyridine) was investigated. The dinuclear complex [(mu-4,40-bipy)Cu-II(TMPA)(2)](CF3SO3)(4) (1) was synthesised and analysed by Xray diffraction (XRD). Magnetic studies revealed that this derivative displays very weak antiferromagnetic interactions between the two metal centres (2J = -0.69 cm(-1)). Solution studies (EPR spectroscopy and voltammetry) evidenced the lability of the bridged neutral bipyridine ligand in acetonitrile. The reaction of TCNE (TCNE: tetracyanoethylene) with the copper(…
The C–I···–O–N+ Halogen Bonds with Tetraiodoethylene and Aromatic N-Oxides
2020
The nature of C–I⋯⁻O–N⁺ interactions, first of its kind, between non-fluorinated tetraiodoethylene XB-donor and pyridine N-oxides (PyNO) are studied by single-crystal X-ray diffraction (SCXRD) and ...
Chemical shift reagents in the study of polycyclic alcohols IX—1H NMR spectra of myrtenol and some other primary alcohols
1974
Structure proof of (—)-myrtenol, 3-cyclopentenyl-1-methanol and 5-norbornene-2-endo-methanol has been obtained from their proton magnetic resonance spectra in carbon tetrachloride containing different added amounts of tris(dipivaloylmethanato)europium. For each alcohol, a 1:1 complex structure with Eu(dpm)3 could be computed, in which the calculated pseudocontact shift effects on all skeleton protons of the ring system were consistent with the observed shift effect values. A considerable contact contribution of opposite sign to that of the pseudocontact part of the effect could be estimated for the methylene protons of the CH2OH group.
Effect of Superbasic Ionic Liquids on the Synthesis of Dendritic PolyaminesviaAza-Michael Addition Reaction
2017
Catalytic effect of selected superbasic ionic liquids on the yield and selectivity of aza-Michael addition of ethylenediamine and ammonia to acrylonitrile was investigated. The reactions were performed in calorimetric reactor equipped with RT-IR probe (real-time IR), where all energy changes associated with chemical reactions and physical transformations were monitored. Catalytic activity of selected superbasic ionic liquids in aza-Michael addition ethylenediamine and ammonia to acrylonitrile were determined and obtained polynitriles were then hydrogenatated to final three- and four-directional dendritic polyamines. The products were characterized by instrumental analytical methods, includi…
Effect of AlR3 (R = Me, Et, iBu) addition on the composition and microstructure of ethylene/1-olefin copolymers made with post-metallocene complexes …
2018
The effect of trialkylaluminum compound (AlR3, where R = Me, Et, iBu) addition on the performance of the [LigZrCl]2(μ-O)/AliBu3/Ph3CB(C6F5)4 and LigTiCl2/AliBu3/Ph3CB(C6F5)4 (Lig = Me2N(CH2)2N(CH2-2-O-3,5-tBu2-C6H2)2) catalysts in ethylene/1-olefin copolymerization was investigated. The presence of AlMe3 in the feed during the copolymerization process catalyzed by the diamine-bis(phenolate) zirconium catalyst greatly increases the amount of incorporated comonomer and leads to microstructural changes, e.g., the formation of blocky and alternating sequences of 1-olefin units. Moreover, the use of AlMe3 limits the reaction yield and decreases the molecular weight of the produced copolymers. Th…
Plastic ingestion by pelagic and demersal fish from the North Sea and Baltic Sea
2015
Plastic ingestion by marine biota has been reported for a variety of different taxa. In this study, we investigated 290 gastrointestinal tracts of demersal (cod, dab and flounder) and pelagic fish species (herring and mackerel) from the North and Baltic Sea for the occurrence of plastic ingestion. In 5.5% of all investigated fishes, plastic particles were detected, with 74% of all particles being in the microplastic (<5mm) size range. The polymer types of all found particles were analysed by means of Fourier transform infrared (FT-IR) spectroscopy. Almost 40% of the particles consisted of polyethylene (PE). In 3.4% of the demersal and 10.7% of the pelagic individuals, plastic ingestion was …
A Complex Gene Network Mediated by Ethylene Signal Transduction TFs Defines the Flower Induction and Differentiation in Olea europaea L.
2021
The olive tree (Olea europaea L.) is a typical Mediterranean crop, important for olive and oil production. The high tendency to bear fruits in an uneven manner, defined as irregular or alternate bearing, results in a significant economic impact for the high losses in olives and oil production. Buds from heavy loaded (‘ON’) and unloaded (‘OFF’) branches of a unique olive tree were collected in July and the next March to compare the transcriptomic profiles and get deep insight into the molecular mechanisms regulating floral induction and differentiation. A wide set of DEGs related to ethylene TFs and to hormonal, sugar, and phenylpropanoid pathways was identified in buds collected from ‘OFF’ …
The Combined Effects of Ethylene and MeJA on Metabolic Profiling of Phenolic Compounds in Catharanthus roseus Revealed by Metabolomics Analysis
2016
Phenolic compounds belong to a class of secondary metabolites and are implicated in a wide range of responsive mechanisms in plants triggered by both biotic and abiotic elicitors. In this study, we approached the combinational effects of ethylene and MeJA (methyl jasmonate) on phenolic compounds profiles and gene expressions in the medicinal plant Catharanthus roseus. In virtue of a widely non-targeted metabolomics method, we identified a total of 34 kinds of phenolic compounds in the leaves, composed by 7 C6C1-, 11 C6C3-, and 16 C6C3C6 compounds. In addition, 7 kinds of intermediates critical for the biosynthesis of phenolic compounds and alkaloids were identified and discussed with phenol…
