The aim of this paper was to analyze the evolution of learning strategies of two groups of students, excellent and average, from 11 degrees of the UPV (Valencia/Spain) in their freshman year. We used the CEVEAPEU questionnaire. The results confirmed the availability of better strategies of excellent students and also the existence of evolutionary patterns in which affective-emotional strategies decrease, such as value of the task or internal attributions, and that others increase, such as extrinsic motivation and external attributions. Una aproximación al perfil de los estudiantes universitarios excelentes

[ES] El objetivo de este trabajo era concretar el perfil de los alumnos excelentes en la universidad, de cara a precisar modelos eficaces de funcionamiento que se pudieran generalizar y enseñar, en la medida de lo posible. Para ello se recogieron datos de varios grupos de alumnos de 1º de la Universidad Politécnica de Valencia con las mejores notas de entrada de diferentes titulaciones cuyos resultados se compararon con los de alumnos de calificaciones medias. Usando el cuestionario AF5 (Autoconcepto Forma 5), evaluamos el autoconcepto de una muestra de 135 alumnos excelentes, seleccionados de 11 titulaciones de 9 centros de la Universidad Politecnica de Valencia, y comparamos los resultados con una muestra de 114 alumnos medios de los mismos centros.
