The authorities of the Republic of Poland in exile tried to follow and analyse the situation in Poland after World War 2. The developments in the years 1947–1949 which aroused particular interest among emigrants were the elections to the Legislative Sejm, the issue of the Oder-Neisse borderline and the sovietisation of Poland. These topics were raised by the president in his speeches, by the government during its meetings and by the National Council of Poland during its sessions. In Tr. 3.14.46, Ovid laments his decrease in Latin knowledge, concluding that he almost unlearned his mother tongue (uerba mihi desunt dedidicique loqui) and in Tr. 5.7b.55-64 he confesses the decline of his language skills caused by disuse. Moreover, he states that he has learned to speak in Getic to the point of having composed a Geticum libellum (Pont. 4.13.17-23). Resumen Durante la Guerra Civil española (1936-1939) unos 5000 niños y niñas tuvieron que marchar al exilio, encontrando en Bélgica un nuevo hogar de acogida temporal. Al finalizar el conflicto bélico, la mayoría de ellos fueron repatriados y regresaron junto a sus familias o a centros benéfico-paternalistas franquistas. Alrededor de un millar no regresaron por diferentes motivos. The Polish Independence League established at the end of 1944 became the political representation of Piłsudski’s adherents in exile. Przedstawiamy pacjenta z nawracającymi niestabilnymi hemodynamicznie częstoskurczami komorowymi w okresie zawału mięśnia sercowego bez uniesienia odcinka ST powikłanego niewydolnością krążenia. Komorowe zaburzenia rytmu utrzymywały się pomimo wdrożonej farmakoterapii przeciwniewydolnościowej, zastosowania amiodaronu i przeprowadzonej rewaskularyzacji. W związku z tym zastosowano niestandardową farmakoterapię oraz metody zabiegowe takie jak ablacja endowaskularna i implantacja kardiowertera-defibrylatora.

Pułkownik Zbigniew Jacorzyński to postać wybitnie zasłużona dla polskiego pożarnictwa. Urodził się 8 sierpnia 1921 roku w Cieszynie. Był synem oficera Wojska Polskiego. W młodości udzielał się w polskim harcerstwie. W 1937 roku stanął do poboru i dostał przydział do broni pancernej, głównie z powodu fascynacji motoryzacją. W 1939 roku ukończył liceum o profilu matematyczno-fizycznym, po czym odbył obowiązkową sześciotygodniową służbę w Junackich Hufcach Pracy w Równym, na granicy Polesia i Wołynia. W okresie II wojny światowej piłsudczycy, powszechnie obwiniani za klęskę wrześniową w 1939 r., znaleźli się w politycznej izolacji. Od początku marca 1942 r. piłsudczycy w Wielkiej Brytanii wydawali powielany biuletyn „Listy z Londynu”. Pojedynczy egzemplarz czasopisma liczył zazwyczaj od czterech do dziesięciu stron gęsto zapisanego maszynopisu w formacie A4. Powołanie własnego organu prasowego było sporym sukcesem. Piłsudc-zycy, choć zepchnięci na margines życia uchodźczego, mogli w ten sposób prowadzić ograniczoną akcję propagandowo‑informacyjną, przedstawiać założenia programowe środowiska oraz prezentować swoje poglądy na sprawy polskie.
