To validly assess teachers’ pedagogical content knowledge (PCK), performance-based tasks with open-response formats are required. Automated scoring is considered an appropriate ap-proach to reduce the resource-intensity of human scoring and to achieve more consistent scor-ing results than human raters. The focus is on the comparability of human and automated scor-ing of PCK for economics teachers. The answers of (prospective) teachers (N=852) to six open-response tasks from a standardized and validated test were scored by two trained human raters and the engine "Educational SCoRIng TOolkit" (ESCRITO). Influence of computer feedback on attentional biases to emotional faces in children

We examined which type of corrective feedback in a computerized task produces an optimal balance between performance and emotional reactions in children. To that end, we conducted an emotional dot-probe task. We employed three types of corrective feedback (negative, positive, or mixed) along with a control, non-feedback condition. We tested the effect of feedback on: (i) task performance; (ii) immediate emotional reactions in terms of attentional preferences toward emotional faces (happy, sad, and angry); and (iii) self-reported affective experience after the task. Abstract. The goal of this study was to investigate the dynamic interplay of affect and time investment during exam preparation using daily learning diaries. University students ( N = 56) reported a simultaneous increase in negative affect as well as intended and actual time investment over the course of the survey period (30 days). Cramming of study time partially accounted for the increase in negative affect. More planning strategies were associated with lower negative and more positive affect. Faces that exhibit emotionally negative expressions in mutual gaze have been shown to induce a dilation of perceived duration. The influence of gaze by itself on duration judgments, however, has rarely been investigated. We argue for a social interaction hypothesis, according to which humans should be highly accurate and precise (sensitive) when processing the temporal dynamics of mutual gaze. In three experiments, we investigated whether the direction of observed gaze affects perceived duration and temporal sensitivity. The aim of this study was to examine the effects of playing tactics on the creation of scoring opportunities in random matches from US Major League Soccer 2014, taking into account both contextual and defensive variables. The sample included 3253 team possessions corresponding to 30 randomly selected matches. Multidimensional qualitative data from 10 categorical variables was analysed by means of descriptive analysis and multiple logistic regression analysis. The aim of this study was to examine the effects of playing tactics on creating scoring opportunities in counterattacks from the United States Major League Soccer (MLS) 2014 season. The sample included 452 counterattack possessions, corresponding to 30 randomly selected matches. Multidimensional data from 14 categorical variables were analysed by means of a descriptive analysis and binary logistic regression.
