The paper concerns the seismic behavior of precast concrete industrial buildings with an elevation equipped with seismic isolators. It’s examined a building with rectangular plan of m 40x 50. The structure is constituted of columns of square cross-section of 0.6 m, with continuum beams foundation. The desk is made with T section beams for each frame connected by Gerber joints in the main direction and they support precast pre-tensioned tiles with shape. Results of experimental investigation on cyclic behavior of beam-column joints made up of hybrid steel trussed concrete beams connected to reinforced concrete columns are presented. Specimens are representative of joints in framed structures subjected to seismic actions designed according to current Italian technical standard codes. The aim of the experimental testing was to verify strength capacity and ductility of the connection, focusing both the global behavior and the force transmission mechanisms between steel truss and concrete in the region close to the beam-column joint.

The aim of the paper is to analyse the decay of the precast concrete elements which characterize the building envelope of the Enel-SGES Building, designed by Giuseppe Samonà in 1959 and built after two years in Palermo. Thanks to the original technical documents, saved in the IUAV archive in Venice and in the Samonà's archive of Parma, and according to contemporary evidence the building history has been defined in detail.
