Association between Anxiety, Quality of Life and Academic Performance of the Final-Year-Students in Latvia

The main objective of this study was to investigate the association between final-year students’ anxiety level and quality of life (QOL) with their academic achievements. A longitudinal study was performed in regular schools and in high-rated gymnasiums at the beginning and at the end of the school year. Multiple linear regression models were built for the association between level of anxiety/QOL with academic achievements. In modern Slavic linguistics, along with the terms "religious discourse", "religious style", the term "religious language" functions, the appearance of which became possible thanks to the works of the Polish linguist Z. Klemensevich. At the initial stages, the study of the religious language was, as a rule, reduced to the analysis and description of vocabulary. Currently, scientists are interested in other problems related to this phenomenon, including genres, styles and variants of religious language.

Child's death is commonly viewed as the most difficult experience for its parents. This kind of loss and escalation of dismal emotions related to this event allows us to speak of suffering mental pain. Mourning for the loss of child differs significantly from o ther forms of bemoaning; time is rarely a great healer in this case and a sense of void often continues for the entire lifetime. W artykule podjęto próbę teologicznej oceny klasycznych modeli racjonalizacji cierpienia i zła. Należą do nich: harmonizacja i estetyzacja, ontologiczna depotencjacja, umoralizowanie oraz pedagogizacja zła. Autor dochodzi do wniosku, iż żaden z nich nie daje wystarczającej odpowiedzi na bolesne pytanie: Dlaczego Bóg dopuszcza zło? Niemniej jednak każdy z wymienionych modeli zawiera elementy, które z powodzeniem mogą być wykorzystane we współczesnym dyskursie teodycealnym. Istnienie zła nie jest wystarczającym dowodem na nieistnienie Boga. To, w jaki sposób niewierzący postrzegają zło, jest już określone przez ich niewiarę. Purpose: Few large-scale population-based studies have adequately examined the relationships between steroid hormones, health status and physical fitness. The purpose of the study was to describe the relationship of serum basal endogenous steroid hormones (testosterone, TES; empirical free testosterone, EFT; cortisol, COR) and sex hormone-binding globulin (SHBG) to body composition, cardiovascular risk factors, and physical fitness in young healthy men. The data show the quantitative annual, winter and summer precipitation reconstructions (mm/yr) from southern Iberian Peninsula for the last ~200,000 years (Camuera et al., 2022), based on the previously published fossil pollen data from the Padul-15-05 lake sediment record (Ramos-Román et al., 2018a, b; Camuera et al., 2019, 2021). The Padul-15-05 record, located in southern Spain (37º00'39''N, 3º36'14''W, 726 masl), was retrieved during summer 2015 from the current edge of the lake using a Rolatec RL-48-L hydraulic percussion coring machine. Tässä pro gradu -tutkielmassa tutkin äidinkielen vaikutusta toisen kielen oppimiseen. Tutkimukseni kohteena on äidinkielenä unkaria puhuvien edistyneiden suomen kielen oppijoiden puhe. Tavoitteena on selvittää, miten ja missä määrin unkarin kieli äidinkielenä vaikuttaa edistyneiden oppijoiden oppijansuomeen, millä kielen rakenteen tasolla tämä vaikutus esiintyy vahvimmin, minkälaisia siirtovaikutustyyppejä esiintyy useimmin sekä sitä, vaikuttaako unkari myös myönteisesti.
