Mediastinal inflammatory pseudotumor is a rare disease with reactive pseudoneoplastic features and a proven capacity for local invasion. The radiographic appearance of inflammatory pseudotumor is quite non-specific and the definitive diagnosis is based on the histological evaluation of tissue specimens. Resection of the lesion is the treatment of choice. However, nonsurgical treatments such as radiotherapy and steroids have been employed in the setting of incomplete surgical resection, tumor recurrence, and patients being unfit for surgery. Prurigo nodularis due to Mycobacterium tuberculosis

Prurigo nodularis (PN) is a rare chronic skin disorder of unknown origin. Here we describe what is believed to be the first case of PN associated with tuberculosis. For the first time, culture and PCR analysis of skin biopsy confirmed the presence of Mycobacterium tuberculosis complex in PN skin lesions. The pruritus and skin lesions resolved following antitubercular therapy. Our case provides further evidence in favour of a link between PN and mycobacterial infection.

Background To describe the incidence, demographic and clinical features of 1187 localized gingival enlargements. Material and Methods 1187 cases of localized gingival enlargements diagnosed during a 20-year period were retrospectively collected. The patients’ gender and age, as well as the main clinical features of the tumors were retrieved from the biopsy report forms. Results The 1187 localized gingival enlargements represented 6.23% of 19.044 biopsies performed during the study period. 756 females and 427 males were affected with a mean age of 41.92±19.68 years. Objectives: The aim of this investigation was to characterise and compare the inflammatory infiltrates in patients with orofacial granulomatosis solely (OFG-S) and OFG with coexisting Crohn’s disease (OFG+CD). Study Design: Biopsy specimens with granulomas were obtained from patients with OFG-S (n=11) and OFG+CD (n=11) and immunostained with antibodies against CD1a, CD3, CD4, CD8, CD11c, CD20, CD68 and mast cell tryptase, followed by quantitative analysis. Granulomatous slack skin: report of a case associated with Hodgkin's disease and a review of the literature.

We report a case of granulomatous slack skin (GSS) associated with Hodgkin's disease, and review the literature on this entity. GSS, a variant of cutaneous T-cell lymphoma, clinically presents with erythematous patches in the flexures, which gradually transform into bulky, pendulous areas of skin. Histology shows an elastolytic granulomatous infiltrate, with atypical lymphoid cells, and occasional epidermotropism.
