How was pottery made during the Bronze Age? The technological ceramic study carried out on 16 habitation and 3 funerary sites of the upper Rhine Valley and its surroundings, which date from the 10th to the 8th centuries BC, reveals an incredible variety among chaînes opératoires. Macrotraces observed on 829 ceramics are abundantly illustrated, and their interpretation is based on a review of numerous ethnographic and experimental reference papers. Gibbs and harmonic measures for foliations with negatively curved leaves

In this thesis we develop a notion of Gibbs measure for the geodesic flow tangent to a foliated bundle over a compact and negatively curved basis. We also develop a notion of F-harmonic measure and prove that there exists a natural bijective correspondence between the two. For projective foliated bundles with sphere-fibers without transverse invariant measure, we show the uniqueness of these measures for any Hölder potential on the basis. In that case we also prove that F-harmonic measures are realized as weighted limits of large balls tangent to the leaves and that their conditional measures on the fibers are limits of weighted averages on the orbits of the holonomy group.

Ordering Garside groups

We introduce a condition on Garside groups that we call Dehornoy structure. An iteration of such a structure leads to a left order on the group. We show conditions for a Garside group to admit a Dehornoy structure, and we apply these criteria to prove that the Artin groups of type A and I2(m), m ≥ 4, have Dehornoy structures. We show that the left orders on the Artin groups of type A obtained from their Dehornoy structures are the Dehornoy orders. In the case of the Artin groups of type I2(m), m ≥ 4, we show that the left orders derived from their Dehornoy structures coincide with the orders obtained from embeddings of the groups into braid groups.

The objective of this doctoral work was to consider the difficulties of integration of Cameroonian footballers migrating in Europe and the Maghreb. Starting from the mobilization of a theoretical framework centered on intergroup relations, we questioned the role ofcategorical and identity processes in situations of sporting and non-sporting interactions and their effects on players' behavior.The first exploratory and qualitative study was conducted among Cameroonian footballers who had lived an experience in European or Maghreb clubs. Topological characterization of virtual braids

The purpose of this thesis is to give a topological characterization of virtual braids. Virtual braids are equivalence classes of planar braid-like diagrams identified up to isotopy, Reidemeister and virtual Reidemeister moves. The set of virtual braids admits a group structure and is called the virtual braid group. In Chapter 1 we present a general introduction to the theory of virtual knots, and we discuss some properties of virtual braids and their relations with classical braids. In Chapter 2 we introduce braid-Gauss dia- grams, and we prove that they are a good combinatorial reinterpretation of virtual braids. A classical theme in dynamical systems is that the first fundamental information comes from the understanding of periodic orbits. When studying group actions, this means that we want to understand the fixed points of elements of the group, and a natural question that emerges from that is: Which groups of homeomorphisms can act on a 1-manifold having all non-trivial elements with at most N fixed points?
