Social Harmony or a Happy Society
2021
In this paper, I set out to prove that once we correctly identify human nature and organize our world according to the principle of cooperation, we can arrive at a world of social harmony. We can then engage in conscious human evolution, aiming at moral and intellectual perfection. Hence, we can arrive at evolutionity, a new evolutionary epoch which would replace the current conflicting and disharmonious times of postmodernity. The current world disharmony, which can be observed especially in the field of politics and economics, is largely related to the erroneous modern Western philosophical assertions identifying the human being with an individual moved by desires and the will to power, a…
Designing an Online Dungeons & Dragons Experience for Primary School Children
2020
In this work, we present the results of a role-playing game experience carried out with a group of 9- to 12-year-old children during the COVID-19 emergence. The ‘harmony in education’ approach has been used to adapt the game design to the constraints imposed by the online context and the young age of the students involved. The results show the effectiveness of the approach in terms of 21st-century skills training with particular evidence on perspective-taking.
Psychological and physiological influences in chord progression including the prohibitions
2009
Harmony is one of three major elements in the music. Harmonics are the basic theory of composition. There are several kinds of prohibitions in relation to the chord progression in the rules of Harmonics. When composers compose music pieces, they pay attention not to contain these prohibitions. The prohibitions are empirically- defined with giving the musical expressions to melody processes by try and error. Even so, there are few studies that are quantitatively examined the perceptual effect of the prohibitions. Therefore, the authors have investigated the perceptual effects of the prohibition quantitatively. The present study deals with the psychological tests and the physiological measure…

2008
This article explores the role played by spirituality in coping and presents the relationships between spiritual dimensions and coping styles. This study presents analysis of learning materials from a case study conducted in one secondary school in Singapore. The objective of the activity is for students to engage in intercultural learning by participating in walking trails with different themes in a few neighborhoods, to learn more about the histo…
A Speech Act Based Model for Analyzing Cooperative Work in Office Information Systems
1990
In this paper we present the SAMPO-approach for modelling and analyzing office information systems. We emphasize the collective features of office work and the role of communications in coordinating the collective efforts. The approach is based on the language action view where language is seen as a means of doing things. The approach also accepts the fact that collective work includes both harmony and conflict and tries to capture both of these features.

Abstract In these last decades, the awareness that soil is a very important resource for humans has noticeably increased. Many actions and initiatives to promote soil governance, aiming at sustainable soil management and soil security have been undertaken by several national and international institutions and in many countries. Analysis of the changes of soil perception over the centuries allows highlighting a perfect harmony between the evolution of soil awareness and the level of knowledge and technology achieved by humans during their history and evolution. Notwithstanding these many achievements, soils continue to be scarcely considered in politics and society. We suggest some thoughts …
