Televisiomoraalin muutos Suomessa : analyysi Helsingin sanomien mielipidekirjoituksista 1970-2003

Tutkimuksessa tarkastellaan televisiomoraalin muutosta 1970-luvulta 2000-luvulle Helsingin Sanomien yleisönosaston mielipidekirjoitusten diskurssianalyysilla. Televisiomoraali on käsitys siitä, mitä on hyväksyttävää esittää televisiossa. Televisiomoraali muovautuu televisiokenttään kohdistuvan normatiivisen sääntelyn, kuten lainsäädännön, ohjeiden ja viranomaistoiminnan vaikutuksessa. Suomessa televisiomoraali perustaa snellmanilaiseen sivistysajatteluun. Tällöin hyväksyttäväksi ohjelmaksi on mielletty vastuullisen viestinnän ja sivistävän ohjelmiston televisio. Tarkastelen kandidaatintutkielmassani mieheyden ja maskuliinisuuden representaatioita Niina Within kotimaisessa chick lit -teoksessa Taisit narrata, Stella. Tarkastelen teoksessa sitä, millaisia rooleja mieshenkilöille annetaan, millaisia maskuliinisuuksia teoksessa esiintyy ja tapaa, jolla miehiä ylipäätään kuvataan teoksessa. Kysyn, voidaanko teoksen katsoa tuottavan ja ylläpitävän lajityypin sisäistä ideaalimaskuliinisuutta. Pohdin myös, kuinka teoksessa kuvattu maskuliinisuus suhteutuu länsimaisen kulttuurin miesideaaliin.

In this article we argue that the role of intellectuals was essential (1) in the formation of Finnish cultural policy and (2) for the development of national cultural administration and public arts subsidy system in the country in the period leading up to World War II. The actions of the intellectuals can be considered as political choices in a contingent sociopolitical realm, and arts as an essential part of the signifying system. In Finland, intellectuals remained active in the intertwining areas between the state and civil society. Artikkelimme käsittelee Antonio Gramscin käsitteistön relevanssia kasvatustieteelliselle tutkimukselle. Aineistonamme toimii kolme Gramscin hegemonian käsitettä hyödyntävää tutkielmaa. Pyrkimyksemme on näiden tutkimusten avulla antaa virikkeitä ja käsitteellisiä välineitä suomalaiselle kriittisen kasvatustieteen tutkimukselle.
