In his youth, he practiced athletics in Paavo Nurmi’s own sport club Turun Urheiluliitto (Turku Sports Union). Later Veroma started to play football in the team of Turun Urheiluliitto. In this paper, we study popular microcelebrities from the Global South to understand their strategies and practices on Facebook. Unlike traditional celebrities who gain their reputation through different types of physical performance, these microcelebrities attain their status by presenting themselves in a favorable way to their online followers. We conducted interviews with 19 microcelebrities from Bangladesh and analyzed our data using actor-network theory (ANT) and Goffman’s dramaturgical analysis (DA) of human interaction. Emotional and Aesthetic Labor of Finnish Military Officers

This study analyzes the emotional and aesthetic labor of Finnish military officers. It examines the kinds of valuations officers attach to the notion of an ideal soldier. The meanings that officers give to these ideals are explored within the wider framework of post-Fordist new work. The ideal soldier is traditionally considered to be physically capable and strong, rational, and in control—features culturally coded as masculine. An analysis of 108 military officers’ writings and 12 interviews showed that while the traditional masculine ideal still exists, a vast variety of valuations are related to new work. Teamwork is a key part of almost any person’s working life. At its best, teamwork embodies a good team spirit and increases employee well-being, but at its worst, a team is characterized by mistrust or competition between members where action and development is not possible. Tutkielmani aineistona on Pauliina Rauhalan teos Synninkantajat, joka käsittelee fiktiivisen romaanin keinoin vanhoillislestadiolaisessa herätysliikkeessä ilmenneitä epäkohtia ja vallankäyttöä. Kohdistan tutkimukseni romaanin runsaisiin intertekstuaalisiin aineksiin, jotka määrittävät henkilöhahmoja. Samalla intertekstuaaliset ainekset vaikuttavat affektiivisesti lukijaan ja rakentavat vanhoillislestadiolaisuudesta muodostuvaa käsitystä. Käsillä olevan tutkimuksen tarkoitus on ollut tutkia tekijöitä jotka vaikuttavat englannin kielen henkilöstökoulutuksen onnistumiseen.
