Cet article se propose d’envisager le rapport entre deprise et recit de soi comme source de continuite identitaire dans une perspective philosophique, en reference a la notion d’identite narrative de Paul Ricœur. Si le recit de soi permet de mettre en forme le temps que l’on vit sans supposer un noyau non changeant de l’identite, ce recit devrait favoriser le processus de deprise. Cet article propose d'expliciter la manière dont les voitures anciennes peuvent constituer un outil du travail narratif individuel. À partir de deux études de cas particulièrement typiques, il s'attarde à démontrer que les individus contemporains produisent des récits d'eux-mêmes, qu'ils aspirent à leur reconnaissance, et que les objets matériels participent de ce travail de l'héritage identitaire. Our traditional chronology systems hardly ever reflect cultural changes accurately and may even mask real moments of discontinuity. This is particularly true for the second part of the Late Bronze Age Urnfield Period where a radical change in iconography can actually be noticed around 900 BC. Our research work investigates - from a psycho-social point of view - the «racial» identity of the black population in France, notably in their relation with the white population, so as to point up the identity dynamics that exist between the various groups. The theoretical framework is related to social grouping and one of its developments, i.e. the concept of social partitioning.
