Technical shelter for storing electronic and technical equipments has high indoor heat dissipation rate, and cooling load exists almost all year around. Energy consumption of cooling system takes majority of entire energy use. Our project aims in reducing the energy consumption by proper design of building envelop and optimal control of cooling system. Both experimental measurements and computer simulation are carried out to analyze the indoor climate and energy performance of technical shelter in different conditions. Tutkimukseni käsittelee sitä, miten kuvallisuus ilmentää poliittista ideologisuutta ja maailmankuvaa Pentti Saarikosken runokokoelmassa Mitä tapahtuu todella?. Teos ilmestyi vuonna 1962 ja kuuluu Saarikosken toisen, poliittisesti osallistuvan kauden tuotantoon. Tutkimuksessa yhdistyvät sosiologinen kirjallisuudentutkimus ja lyriikan analyysi. Keskeisiä käsitteitä tutkimuksessani ovat kuvallisuus, ideologia ja ideologisuus sekä maailmankuva. Osoitan tutkimuksessa, että Saarikosken kokoelman runokuvat ilmentävät sen poliittista ideologisuutta. Peter Senge on eniten siteerattuja kirjoittajia, kun puhutaan oppivista organisaatioista. Hänen tunnetuin kirjansa The Fifth Discipline ilmestyi Yhdysvalloissa vuonna 1990 ja sai miltei kulttikirjan maineen. Sengeä pidetään ihmisenä, joka tietää hyvin paljon oppivan organisaation kysymyksistä, hän on jotakin tällä alueella. Ennakkokuva vahvasta osaajasta oli vankkumaton lupautuessani haastattelemaan Sengeä. Tapaaminen muutti ennakkokäsityksiäni ja -odotuksiani.

AbstractRegime shifts are increasingly prevalent in the ecological literature. However, definitions vary, and many detection methods are subjective. Here, we employ an operationally objective means of identifying regime shifts, using a Bayesian online change-point detection algorithm able to simultaneously identify shifts in the mean and(or) variance of time series data. Abstract. The COVID-19 pandemic has affected all societies worldwide. The heightened levels of stress that accompanied the crisis were also expected to affect parenting in many families. Since it is known that high levels of stress in the parenting domain can lead to a condition that has severe consequences for health and well-being, we examined whether the prevalence of parental burnout in 26 countries (9,923 parents; 75% mothers; mean age 40) increased during COVID-19 compared to few years before the pandemic. AbstractThe spatial structure of a forest stand is typically modeled by spatial point process models. Motivated by aerial forest inventories and forest dynamics in general, we propose a sequential spatial approach for modeling forest data. Such an approach is better justified than a static point process model in describing the long-term dependence among the spatial location of trees in a forest and the locations of detected trees in aerial forest inventories. Tree size can be used as a surrogate for the unknown tree age when determining the order in which trees have emerged or are observed on an aerial image.
