Artykuł zawiera analizę porównawczą poziomu rozwoju trzech polskich województw: dolnośląskiego, opolskiego i śląskiego. Za pomocą opracowanego miernika rozwoju regionalnego, autor analizuje cztery główne komponenty rozwoju – gospodarka, konkurencyjność i innowacje, kapitał ludzki, kapitał społeczny i jakość życia. Characterizing Web sessions of e-customers interested in traditional and innovative products

Web traffic characterization and modelling is currently a hot research issue. Low-level analysis of HTTP traffic on the server allows one to build adequate traffic models to be used in server benchmarking. High-level analysis of Web user behavior allows one to optimize website structure and develop personalized service strategies. In this paper, analysis of customer sessions in an online store is performed using Web server log data. The goal is to explore possible differences between sessions of customers viewing and purchasing innovative products, and customers only interested in traditional products.

Innowacyjne podejście do realizacji zadań w pracy nauczyciela, podobnie jak w każdym innym zawodzie, jest istotnym czynnikiem podnoszenia jakości i atrakcyjności oddziaływań. The incubation process for the creation of viable firms: the case of ARCA Consortium

The aim of this study is to demonstrate that academic incubators play a key role in firm viability. This study develops a new analytic systemic framework that reveals the processes and factors that determine the effectiveness of the incubation process supported by university incubators. We analyse the effectiveness of the incubation process in the incubator of the ARCA Consortium by means of a single case study with an embedded design. In this study, adopting a systemic perspective, we shift the focus from the firm to the context, shedding light on the systemic actions that create the prerequisite conditions for the achievement of the firms’ viability.
