Open availability of articles and raw research data in spanish pediatrics journals

[EN]: Introduction: The open Access to publications and the raw data allows its re-use and enhances the advancement of science. The aim of this paper is to identify these practices in Spanish pediatrics journals. Method: We reviewed the author's instructions in 13 Spanish pediatrics journals, identifyingtheir open access and deposit policy. Results: Eight journals allow open access without restriction, and 5 provide information on theability to re-use and depositing data in repositories or websites. Conclusions: Most of the journals have open access, but do not promote the deposit of additionalmaterial or articles in repositories or websites.

Pini Language and PiniTree Ontology Editor: Annotation and Verbalisation for Atomised Journalism

We present a new ontology language Pini and the PiniTree ontology editor supporting it. Despite Pini language bearing lot of similarities with RDF, UML class diagrams, Property Graphs and their frontends like Google Knowledge Graph and Protege, it is a more expressive language enabling FrameNet-style natural language annotation for Atomised journalism use case.

The role of green extraction techniques in Green Analytical Chemistry

Abstract Greening extraction techniques to improve the sensitivity and the selectivity of analytical methods is the sustainable alternative to classical sample-preparation procedures used in the past. In this update, we review the main strategies employed in the scientific literature to reduce deleterious side-effects of extraction techniques. We demonstrate that the evolution of sample-treatment procedures is focused on the simultaneous improvement of the main analytical features of the method and its practical aspects, including the economic case.

Digital longform journalism has recently attracted increased attention among both academics and professionals. This study contributes to the growing body of research by dissecting the multimodal structure of digital longform journalism, that is, how the emerging genre combines written language, photography, short videos, maps and other graphical elements, and joins them together into a seamless narrative using subtle transitions. Journalistic codes of ethics articulate conventions of professionalism as it is understood in Western democracies. Codes of ethics combine theoretical and applied ethics, defining the duties (e.g., service of the public, respect for human dignity, etc.) and offering practical instructions for information gathering, processing, and publishing. The objective was to compare the impact factor to 2 years of self-citations (IF2Y) with impact factor 2 years without self-citations (IF2YWS) and IF2Y with the impact factor to 5 years (IF5Y) as well as IF2YWS with SCImago Journal Rank (SJR) about journals where they were published articles of excellence in smoking by Spanish authors in the period 2008-2012.
