Diffusion of Drone Journalism: the Case of Finland, 2011-2020

This article details Finnish news organizations’ adoption of drones for journalistic purposes from 2011 to 2020. The theoretical starting point of the article is Rogers’ (1962) diffusion of innovations theory, which explains how new ideas and technologies spread in societies. The main empirical data for the study were derived from a phone survey conducted among the 80 most popular newspapers in Finland. The findings reveal that drone journalism in Finland has already diffused from a few pioneering organizations to a large number of newsrooms, including regional, mid-sized newspapers. Na wielu miejscach ewangelickie i katolickie teksty liturgiczne używane podczas zawierania ślubu mówią o błogosławieństwie. Także powszedni język stosowany w obydwu środowiskach kościelnych nie stroni od życzeń „błogosławieństwa”. AbstractWe propose to consider semi-natural habitats—hotspots for biodiversity—being caught in a socio-ecological extinction vortex, similar to the phenomenon described for species threatened with extinction. These habitats are essentially socioecological systems, in which socioeconomic drivers are interlinked with ecological processes. Kvalifikācijas darbs tika veidots ar mērķi analizēt „rus.tvnet.lv” portāla komentārus krievu valodā, jo latviešu valodai līdzīgs projekts jau ir izveidots [1]. Programmas izstrādes sākumā bija pieņemts izstrādāt sistēmu, kas spētu izgūt portāla komentārus un ar mašīnmācīšanās algoritmu palīdzību noteikt negatīvus un pazemojošus komentārus. Projekta gaitā tika izlemts paplašināt programmas darbību, ļaujot lietotājiem pašiem noteikt kāda veida komentāri tiks atlasīti. Par mašīnmācīšanās algoritmu tika izvēlēts naivais Baiesa klasifikators. Tika izmantotas PHP un JavaScript programmēsanas valodas, kā arī AJAX tehnoloģija. W artykule przedstawiony został casus jednego z zakonników Kościoła Katolickiego. Zdaniem autora przypadek ten dobrze ilustruje realia, w jakich przyszło żyć duchowieństwu w Polskiej Rzeczypospolitej Ludowej. Wojciech Kloc, ze Zgromadzenia Braci Albertynów, prowadził handel dewocjonaliami w celu zarobienia pieniędzy na remont dachu domu zakonnego. Z tego powodu został zatrzymany przez milicję przed jednym z kościołów w Kędzierzynie (powiat kozielski), gdzie odebrano mu dewocjonalia, którymi handlował oraz pieniądze, które przy nim znaleziono. Brief remote intervention to manage food cravings and emotions during the Covid-19 pandemic: a pilot study

As a result of the COVID-19 pandemic people have endured potentially stressful challenges which have influenced behaviors such as eating. This pilot study examined the effectiveness of two brief interventions aimed to help individuals deal with food cravings and associated emotional experiences. Participants were 165 individuals residing in United Kingdom, Finland, Philippines, Spain, Italy, Brazil, North America, South Korea, and China. The study was implemented remotely, thus without any contact with researchers, and involved two groups.
