This thesis examined how physical fitness is associated with self-reported physical activity (PA), eating habits and psychosocial factors among Finnish men who engaged in the Adventures of Joe Finn Campaign. The thesis comprises four original publications and supplementary results. The research framework utilizes the Health Action Process Approach (HAPA) and principles of social marketing. HAPA guides the explanation of health behaviors at the individual level within the wider framework of social marketing, which links the individual-level effects with the campaign. Chimpanzees surviving in a fragmented high‐altitude forest landscape of the Congolese Albertine Rift

This paper documents a community of eastern chimpanzees (Pan troglodytes schweinfurthii Giglioli, 1872) inhabiting three relict forest fragments situated on the Lake Albert escarpment, down the Ituri highlands, of eastern Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC). The area explored had a combined forested surface of ±18.15 km2 in 2017, shrinking by 1.2% per year between 2010 and 2015. Between 2015 and 2017, we found 160 chimpanzee nests along 37.6 km of pilot walks, some up to 2,000 m altitude. The crisis of values, authority and identity that affects contemporary Europe encourages the Church to act that will protect Christians from axiological and morał degradation. One of the areas that can do this through their methods is Catholic social teaching. The article is a presentation of the most important assumptions of Catholic social science and an indication of how concepts of the nation and State together with goals and rights and obligations should be implemented so that both the Citizen and the rulers can strive for the common good.

Propsilocerus akamusi (Diptera: Chironomidae) is a dominant macroinvertebrate species in many eutrophic lakes in subtropical and temperate zones. P. akamusi larvae can migrate deep into the sediment (>30 cm) during summer where is no oxygen. However, to our knowledge, the specific adaptive tactics of its tube-dwelling life (>30 cm) and underlying mechanisms why this species is favored by nutrient-rich lakes remain limited. W artykule przedstawiona została problematyka funkcjonowania dyplomacji Rzeczypospolitej w stosunkach z Rosją w latach 1711-1763. Za dolną cezurę przyjęto poselstwo Marcjana Dominika Wołłowicza do cara Piotra I, które jednoznacznie zakończyło okres separatystycznych litewskich działań dyplomatycznych z pierwszej dekady XVIII wieku. Przywrócona została zasada prowadzenia wspólnej polityki zagranicznej Korony i Wielkiego Księstwa z uwzględnieniem większego zainteresowania Litwinów stosunkami z Rosją. Global, National, or Market? Emerging REDD+ Governance Practices in Mozambique and Tanzania

This article examines emerging governance practices in the REDD (Reducing Emissions from Deforestation and Forest Degradation) initiative. We examine three different general governance practices (neoliberal, post-national, and government-led practices) that have been applied in the interaction between international organizations and two REDD target countries: Mozambique and Tanzania.
