La font de Llíria: Edició del primer milacre vicentí publicat (1822)

El present treball estudia el primer milacre vicentí de què es té constància que va ser imprés: La font de Llíria. Editat anònim a València, el 1822, per primera vegada, és una mostra del teatre popular i de carrer del segle XIX i, a més de ser reeditat en diferents ocasions, arribà a inspirar altres autors posteriors. The present work studies the first trext printed wich is considered a milacre (dramatic piece about Saint Vincent Ferrer). La font de Lliria was published anonymously in Valencia, in 1822, for the first time, and it is a sample of popular theater of the nineteenth century. It has been reedited on several occasions, and it has come to inspire later authors.

Organisational Challenges for School Development and Improvement : The Obstructing Role of Sub-Groups and an Overly Positive School Culture

The purpose of this study has been to identify and analyse obstacles embedded in the school organisation that impede organisational development and improvement. The general findings show that the school structure comprised sub-groups and had characteristics of a diversified organisation. This led to dysfunctional discussions that challenged school development and improvement. Second, the findings revealed that the nature of the school culture may challenge school development processes. Science fiction parody in Don Rosa’s ”Attack of the Hideous Space-Varmints"

This article concentrates on the comic “Attack of the Hideous Space Varmints” (1997) by Disney artist Don Rosa. The comic deals with Earthlings who invade the territory of one-eyed aliens. The aim is to study Rosa’s comic from a parodic perspective: how Rosa uses science fiction tropes characteristic to the 1950s cinema and comics and ridicules them. My methods consist of close reading followed by formalist comic analysis. While doing so, I also utilize the concept of metalepsis. In a famous article published in 1993, Raymond Duval highlighted a simple fact: the student may confuse the mathematical object O he is trying to build cognitively with one of its semiotic representations R(O). Duval explained that this confusion was due to a sort of inevitable paradox: only someone who has already built O, can recognize R(O) as a representation of O and not as an object in itself. Thereafter, this thought has been extremely influential for researchers. However, even if in different terms, many scholars of semiotics have emphasized the same phenomenon.
