Specific antibodies against structural proteins of muscle fibres (actin, desmin, dystrophin) and extracellular matrix (fibronectin) were used to study the effect of eccentrically biased downhill running exercise (13,5 degrees, 17 m min(-1), 130 min) on the magnitude and properties of myofibre injury in the quadriceps femoris muscle of male and female rats. We report seven patients with immune-mediated rippling muscle disease (iRMD) and AChR-antibody positive myasthenia gravis (MG) without germline caveolin-3 gene mutations. We describe the follow-up of two patients and the clinical features of five new patients (1 female, 4 male, aged 32 to 69 years). These presented with significant generalized, exercise-induced and electrically-silent muscle rippling with myalgia, combined with generalized MG. In two of the seven patients, MG appeared before iRMD. Mediastinal imaging excluded thymic alterations in all, although two had other coincident tumours. Tutkimuksemme tavoitteena oli selvittää, millaisia eettisiä ristiriitoja eli dilemmoja opinto-ohjaajat kohtaavat ja millaista eettistä kuormittuneisuutta he mahdollisesti kokevat työssään. Lisäksi olimme kiinnostuneita siitä, millaiset eettiset periaatteet ohjaavat opinto-ohjaajia heidän työssään. Tarkoituksenamme oli saada päivitettyä tietoa opintoohjaajien työstä, sillä aiempia tutkimuksia opinto-ohjaajista on tehty Suomessa melko vähän. Toteutimme tutkimuksemme syksyllä 2016 puolistrukturoiduilla teemahaastatteluilla. Haastattelimme kuutta peruskoulun opinto-ohjaajaa Länsi-, Keski- ja Etelä-Suomen alueilta. Refined instability estimates for some inverse problems

Many inverse problems are known to be ill-posed. The ill-posedness can be manifested by an instability estimate of exponential type, first derived by Mandache [29]. In this work, based on Mandache's idea, we refine the instability estimates for two inverse problems, including the inverse inclusion problem and the inverse scattering problem. Our aim is to derive explicitly the dependence of the instability estimates on key parameters. The first result of this work is to show how the instability depends on the depth of the hidden inclusion and the conductivity of the background medium. Toiminko sääntöjen tai arvojeni vastaisesti? : koulupsykologien kokemien eettisten dilemmojen ja niiden vatvomisen yhteys työstä palautumiseen

Tavoite: Tutkimuksemme tarkoituksena on selvittää, eroaako koulupsykologien viikonlopun aikainen työstä palautuminen heidän viikon aikana kokemiensa eettisten dilemmojen ja niiden vatvomisen suhteen. Menetelmät: Päiväkirjatutkimukseen osallistui 133 koulupsykologia. He täyttivät peruskyselyn (huhtikuu 2014) ja sen jälkeen päiväkirjakyselyn, joka toteutettiin kolmena perättäisenä perjantaina ja maanantaina (toukokuu 2014). Perjantaisin kysyttiin sääntöjen ja arvojen vastaiseen toimintaan liittyvien eettisten dilemmojen kokemiseen ja vatvomiseen sekä unenlaatuun liittyviä asioita.
