Suoratoistopalvelut ovat nykyään pohjoismaissa erittäin suosittuja ja yli 80 prosenttia suomalaisista on katsonut viimeisen puolen vuoden aikana suoratoistosisältöä. Tosin aikaisempien tutkimusten mukaan suoratoistosisällöistä maksaneiden osuus on ollut Suomessa pohjoismaiden pienin. However, studies comparing their effects on obesity show controversial findings regarding weight loss. In this paper, we address the problem of the origin of in-plane stresses in continuous, two-dimensional high-speed webs. In the case of thin, slender webs, a typical modeling approach is the application of a stationary in-plane model, without considering the effects of in-plane velocity field. However, for high-speed webs this approach is insufficient, because it neglects the coupling between the total material velocity and the deformation experienced by the material. A person-oriented approach to maternal homework involvement during the transition to lower secondary school

This study examined patterns of mothers' homework involvement (n = 680 in Grade 6 and 665 in Grade 7) and changes in them during 12-year-old Finnish adolescents' (n = 848; 391 boys) transition to lower secondary school. Moreover, the extent to which adolescents' motivational behavior and prior academic achievement predicted these patterns was examined. The latent transition analyses identified four relatively stable latent patterns of maternal homework involvement in Grades 6 and 7: averagely involved, psychologically controlling and intrusive, noninvolved, and intrusive monitoring and helping. Nanotieteitä opiskelevien opiskelijoiden mentaalimallien muodostuminen

Tämän tutkielman tarkoitus on selvittää Jyväskylän yliopistossa nanotieteiden koulutusohjelmassa opiskelevien ensimmäisen vuoden opiskelijoiden käsitteiden käyttöä ja mentaalimallien muodostumista kokeellisen työskentelyn aikana. Tutkimuksessa ollaan erityisen kiinnostuneita siitä, tukeeko nanotieteiden kehysideoihin lukeutuvien käsitteiden käyttö mallien muodostumista. Tutkimus on kvalitatiivinen eli laadullinen, vaikka tutkimuksessa ollaan kiinnostuneita myös käsitteiden käytön runsauden vaikutuksesta mallien muodostumiseen.
