The objective was to compare three score systems, pneumonia severity index (PSI), the Confusion-Urea-Respiratory Rate-Blood pressure-65 (CURB-65), and severe community-acquired pneumonia (SCAP), for prediction of the outcomes in a cohort of patients with community-acquired (CAP) and healthcare-associated pneumonia (HCAP). Karrikins (KARs) are a class of smoke-derived seed germination stimulants with great significance in both agriculture and plant biology. By means of direct binding to the receptor protein KAI2, the compounds can initiate the KAR signal transduction pathway, hence triggering germination of the dormant seeds in the soil. In the research, several molecular dynamics (MD) simulation techniques were properly integrated to investigate the binding process of KAR1 to KAI2 and reveal the details of the whole binding event. Reaction of the tridentate aminoalcohol phenol ligands 2,4-di-tert-butyl-6-(((2 hydroxyethyl)(methyl)amino)methyl)phenol (H2L1) and 2,4-di-tert-butyl-6-(((1-hydroxybutan-2-yl)amino)methyl)phenol (H2L2) with [MoO2(acac)2] in methanol solutions resulted in the formation of [MoO2(L1)(MeOH)] (1) and [MoO2(L2)(MeOH)] (3), respectively. First copper(I) ferrocenyltetraphosphine complexes: possible involvement in Sonogashira cross-coupling reaction ?

Preparation and characterization of the first examples of copper(I) ferrocenylpolyphosphine complexes are reported. The molecular structure of complex {P,P′,P′′-[1,1′,2,2′-tetrakis(diphenylphosphino)-4,4′-di-tert-butylferrocene]iodocopper(I)} (1) was solved by X-ray diffraction studies, and its fluxional behavior in solution was investigated by VT-31P NMR; both revealed a net triligated coordination preference of the ferrocenyl tetraphosphine Fc(P)4tBu with copper.
