Abstract Copper is an essential cofactor for key processes in plants, but it exerts harmful effects when in excess. Previous work has shown that the Arabidopsis (Arabidopsis thaliana) COPT1 high-affinity copper transport protein participates in copper uptake through plant root tips. Here, we show that COPT1 protein localizes to the plasma membrane of Arabidopsis cells and the phenotypic effects of transgenic plants overexpressing either COPT1 or COPT3, the latter being another high-affinity copper transport protein family member. This paper presents the phenomenon of travelling to places of memory, with particular emphasis on their local naturę. Examples discussed include places of memory directly related to the miners’profession, in particular those that are devoted to the victims of tragic events that took place in mines. In the last few years tourists have become more interested in places of memory related to mining, which is directly associated with the functioning of the nature-tourist trail called “Following the miners’ toil”, created on the initiative of the members of “Sokół” Cycling Club, which is a part of PTTK Division in Radlin.

A linear amphoteric poly(amidoamino acid), L-ARGO7, is prepared by Michael-type polyaddition of L-arginine with N,N′-methylenebisacrylamide. Chain-extension of acrylamide end-capped L-ARGO7 oligomers with piperazine leads to high-molecular-weight copolymers in which L-arginine maintains its absolute configuration. Acid/base properties of L-ARGO7 polymers show isolectric points of ≈10 and positive net average charges per repeating unit at pH = 7.4 from 0.25 to 0.40. These arginine-rich synthetic polymers possibly share some of the unique biological properties of polyarginine cell-permeating peptides.
