In this article we report the findings of a critical discourse analysis of the diagnostic criteria for attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) and hyperkinetic disorder (HD) in two clinical manuals – Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders, 5th edition and International Classification of Diseases, 10th edition. We examine the actions (behaviors) that are said to indicate the presence of ADHD/HD and analyze what the inclusion of these actions reveals about the relationship between ADHD/HD, cultural knowledge, and values. The reactivity of palladium acetate inside a poly(4-vinylpyridine-co-divinylbenzene) polymer is strongly influenced by the establishment of interaction between the Pd precursor and the pyridyl functional group in the polymer. Diffuse reflectance infrared Fourier transform spectroscopy (DRIFTS) and simultaneous X-ray absorption near edge structure (XANES) and small angle X-ray scattering (SAXS) techniques have been applied to monitor the reactivity of palladium acetate in the presence of H-2 and CO as a function of temperature. Resumen El propósito de este estudio fue analizar la incidencia de las prácticas verdes como impulsoras para generar confianza, satisfacción y lealtad en los huéspedes. Para ello, a partir de una muestra de 302 huéspedes de hoteles en Bogotá, Colombia, se estimó un modelo de ecuaciones estructurales a través de la regresión de mínimos cuadrados parciales. Los resultados obtenidos evidencian que las prácticas sostenibles contribuyen al aumento de la confianza y la satisfacción de los huéspedes, y que estas, a su vez, influyen positivamente en su lealtad hacia el hotel. We report the unique heterobimetallic dodecanuclear oxamate-based {CoII6CuII6} nanowheel obtained using an environmentally friendly synthetic protocol. The effective Hamiltonian methodology employed herein allows the rationalisation of magnetic isotropic or anisotropic metal clusters, being a significant advance for future studies of exciting properties only observed at low and ultralow temperatures.

Escherichia coli inactivation by neutral solar heterogeneous photo-Fenton (HPF) over hybrid iron/montmorillonite/alginate beads

Abstract Hybrid alginate montmorillonite iron enriched beads (Fe-MABs) were synthesized using ion gelation method and used as catalyst in Escherichia coli inactivation in neutral solar photo-Fenton conditions. A kinetic analysis showed that the E. coli inactivation by Fe-MABs followed a pseudo first-order kinetics model. Complete disinfection was achieved in 1 h of irradiation by using Fe-MABs in the presence of 10 ppm of H 2 O 2 . Preliminary studies on recyclability showed possible beads reused up to four times. Overall, Fe-MABs represent an environmental friendly material able to achieve bactericidal performance measured by E. coli inactivation under photooxidative conditions.
Bio materials with reclaimed asphalt: from lab mixes properties to non-damaged full scale monitoring and mechanical simulation

Three innovative environmentally friendly pavement materials, designed with 50% of Reclaimed Asphalt and three different biomaterials (2 bio-additivated bitumens and 1 bio-binder), were produced in an industrial plant. These mixes were tested in lab and also at full scale using an Accelerated Pavement Test facility. The asphalt mix viscoelastic properties were measured in lab and their intrinsic viscoelastic response were simulated. These rheological models are used to simulate the pavement mechanical response using both elastic and viscoelastic multilayer codes. To identify genetic variants associated with refractive astigmatism in the general population, meta-analyses of genome-wide association studies were performed for: White Europeans aged at least 25 years (20 cohorts, N = 31,968); Asian subjects aged at least 25 years (7 cohorts, N = 9,295); White Europeans aged <25 years (4 cohorts, N = 5,640); and all independent individuals from the above three samples combined with a sample of Chinese subjects aged <25 years (N = 45,931).
