La participación del alumnado de magisterio en la construcción de un entorno virtual de aprendizaje. Análisis a partir del grupo de discusión
2013
The present work arises from the conviction on the essential need to inform to what extent the students involvement in the construction of a Learning Management System (LMS), can help to improve its functioning and the learning of the students. Specifically, it deeps on such learning process of the students on Primary Education Teaching in the University of Valencia, who are actively participating on the LMS for the ¿History of the School¿ course. In order to do so, on a methodological level, we have develop the discussion group. This qualitative technic permits to obtain qualitative material around their perceptions, interests, motivations, and attitudes related to LMS, as well as its poss…
El modelo constructivista y las relaciones Ciencia, Técnica, Sociedad
1992
SUMMARY The importance of the relations Science/Technology/Society with teaching and its convergence with the constructivist model in the science teaching-learning process, is shown in this paper. In the same way, the consequences to the students arisen from the lack of these relations in the daily teaching, are also shown.
Teaching and Learning Chemistry with a Motivating Tool: one CLICK!
2021
The use of electronic response systems or “clickers” is a popular way to engage students and create an active-learning environment, especially within large courses of general subjects for first-year undergraduates. The present work examines with detail the methodology, the tasks and the results obtained respect to the students’ learning, participation, and engagement in the classroom. In general, students perceived that, clickers provided a significant enhancement to their learning, and teachers obtained real-time feed-back of how the concepts are assimilated or not by the students in order to quickly introduce improvements in their teaching.
Learning Corners in University Music Education: a proposal for implementation and assessment
2019
For teacher training, it is necessary to use innovative methodologies that allow students to experiment with them, as well as to obtain tools for their future work as teachers. This is true in the case of the methodology called "Learning corners", which we implemented and assessed in this research. A learning corners strategy was designed for 54 students studying for a Master's degree in Primary Education, within the music didactics module. The methodology included individual and collaborative activities in work teams. The results of the assessment revealed that this methodology promotes autonomy, motivation and learning, resulting in a useful resource for future teachers.
Proyectos educativos multidisciplinares y ayuda a la comunidad
2019
This paper relates an experience carried out at a higher education setting, specifically involving 3rd-year students in the Early Childhood Education degree programme. In relation to this, the paper presents an educational model that takes into account the need to develop ethical and social competences and gives importance to interdisciplinary education in real contexts. To this aim, all the academic modules that form part of this degree programme devote 25% of their teaching time and evaluation to the development of an interdisciplinary project. This paper will describe one of these projects, entitled "Solve a real problem", the design of which is informed by service-learning and problem-b…
La Société française : de 1945 à nos jours
2015

River ecosystems receive and process vast quantities of terrestrial organic carbon, the fate of which depends strongly on microbial activity. Variation in and controls of processing rates, however, are poorly characterized at the global scale. In response, we used a peer-sourced research network and a highly standardized carbon processing assay to conduct a global-scale field experiment in greater than 1000 river and riparian sites. We found that Earth’s biomes have distinct carbon processing signatures. Slow processing is evident across latitudes, whereas rapid rates are restricted to lower latitudes. Both the mean rate and variability decline with latitude, suggesting temperature constrai…
Measurement of interactions between polysaccharides and flavour compounds by exclusion size chromatography: Advantages and limits
1998
Interactions between flavour compounds and polysaccharides have been studied by exclusion size chromatography, the Hummel and Dreyer method. Hydrogen bonding was found between 2-acetyl thiazole and dextrines of different degrees of polymerisation. The number of binding sites and the affinity constant increase by increasing the degree of polymerisation. Hydrogen bonding was also responsible for the interactions between xanthane and 1-octen-3-ol or 2-acetyl pyrazine, with 1 mole of 1-octen-3-ol bound per pentasaccharide repeating unit. Unfortunately, the number of flavour compounds, which can be studied with this method, is limited due to their low water solubility and their low UV absorption.
Chemical heterogeneities in nanometric titanomagnetites prepared by soft chemistry and studied ex situ : evidence for fe-segregation and oxidation ki…
2001
Nanocrystalline Fe-based spinels with composition Fe3-xTixO4 are synthesized using soft chemistry. Two steps are involved: precipitation in an aqueous solution followed by thermal annealing under a reducing mixture of N2/H2/H2O gases. Fe-segregation is found inside stoichiometric particles when the powders are studied ex situ; they exhibit a strong surface iron enrichment. This heterogeneity is related to kinetic effects linked to the difference of mobility between Fe2+ and Ti4+ cations during the partial oxidation of cations occurring ex situ. Stresses in the grains induced by oxidation govern the oxidation kinetics and lead to an abrupt compositional variation inside each particle. These…
