For decades, soil geography has beenmainly a qualitative and descriptive discipline. There are nowtechnologies and mathematical tools available that allow formalizing soil geography in more quantitative terms. In this paper, the distribution and diversity of the soils of Europe are analyzed using GIS tools and pedodiversity algorithms. Soil data were taken from the European Soil Database (V2.0) and computed within the spatial framework of the Biogeographical Regions of Europe (BGRE) as defined by the European Environmental Agency (EEA) on the basis of climate and vegetation. Abstract Background In Europe, increases in HCV infection have been observed over the last two decades in MSM, making them a key population for recently acquired HCV. Alternative combinations of direct-acting antiviral agents against early HCV infection need to be assessed. Patients and methods In this pilot trial, MSM with recently acquired genotype 1 or 4 HCV infection were prospectively included and received 8 weeks of oral grazoprevir 100 mg and elbasvir 50 mg in a fixed-dose combination administered once daily. Darba nosaukums ir “Rīgas iedzīvotāju viedoklis par toleranci pret LGBT”. Bakalaura darba mērķis ir noskaidrot Rīgas iedzīvotāju viedokli par toleranci pret LGBT. Darbā tika izvirzītas divas hipotēzes: 1) Rīgas iedzīvotāji, kuriem ir augstāks zināšanu līmenis par LGBT, ir tolerantāki pret kopienu; 2) Rīgas iedzīvotāji, kuru paziņu lokā ir vairāk LGBT personas, ir tolerantāki. Zusammenfassung Der folgende Beitrag beschäftigt sich mit Sprechern des Hunsrückischen in Brasilien und deren Gebrauch des Schriftdeutschen im 20. Jahrhundert. Basis der Analyse ist ein Korpus von Privatbriefen, die während der ersten Diktatur geschrieben wurden. Der Fokus der Analyse ist die Frage nach einer uniformen Schriftnorm für diese Sprechergruppe, deren Muttersprache fast ausschließlich mündlich verwendet wurde. Es wird argumentiert, dass der Estado Novo nicht die einzige Ursache für den Dachsprachenwechsel vom Deutschen zum Portugiesischen war, jedoch entscheidend dazu beigetragen hat, dass die Etablierung einer brasilianischen Schriftnorm des Deutschen endgültig verhindert wurde.…

The participation of national and ethnic minorities in Polish political life after 1989 is one of the achieve-ments of democratic Poland. Tracing the history of minority participation in local and parliamentary elec-tions after 1990 makes it clear that this history is dominated by the German minority.
