Finite element modelling of slipage between FRP rebar and concrete in pull-out test

The paper presents numerical results of direct pull-out test of glass fiber-reinforced polymer (GFRP) rebars embedded in concrete. Rebars of three different cross-sections are considered: circular without longitudinal ribs and with two and four ribs. The design analyses of the rebar configurations embedded in concrete are investigated by the 3D finite element method (FEM), which takes into account the non-linearity using ANSYS software. Surveying, Analysis and 3D Modeling in Archaeological Virtual Reconstruction. The inner colonnade of the naos of Temple G of Selinunte.

This paper is focused on the virtual reconstruction of a portion of the naos of Temple G of Selinunte, as a case study for the definition of a method of virtual anastylosis and reconstruction of collapsed colonnades in archaeological contexts. Reconstruction is based on the combination of historical research, archaeological analysis, digital surveying, image-based modeling and laser scanning methods. The complexity of the ruins of the temple suggested a thorough archaeological analysis of the fragments of the inner colonnade of the naos. Effects of network market orientation on new ventures' international performance

By combining international entrepreneurship and marketing aspects, this work attempts to emphasise the importance of relational knowledge in international new ventures by studying the influence of network market orientation on the international results obtained by these firms. The results obtained in the comparison with the proposed structural equations model confirm that network market orientation is a determining factor for firms to achieve better international results. This influence is observed both directly and indirectly with the mediating effect on the differentiation– and cost–based competitive advantages developed by INVs.

Nonlinear extended thermodynamics of a dilute nonviscous gas

This paper deals with further developments of a nonlinear theory for a nonviscous gas in the presence of heat flux, which has been proposed in previous papers, using extended thermodynamics. The fundamental fields used are the density, the velocity, the internal energy density, and the heat flux. The present study explores the interlinkages among the operational variables of a University of Cape Town (UCT) Integrated Fixed Film Activated Sludge (IFAS) membrane bioreactor (MBR) pilot plant. Specifically, dedicated experimental tests were carried out with the final aim to find-out a constitutive relationship among operational costs (OCs), effluent quality index (EQI), effluent fines (EF). Greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions were also included in the study. Results showed that the EQI increases at low flow rate likely due to the dissolved oxygen (DO) limitation in the biological processes.
