The paper deals with geographical names in Silesia deriving from the names of tree species. An analysis of the names derived from appellatives, allows for a reconstruction of the categorization methods of the world, anthropological conceptualization, and a popular image of reality. The main objectives of this study were: to compare the barriers to active commuting to and from school (ACS) between children and their parents separately for children and adolescents; and to analyze the association between ACS and the children’s and parents’ barriers. The main objective of this work was to study the motivational antecedents of the intention to drop out of youth sport from the postulates of the achievement goal theory (AGT), placing special emphasis on the motivational climate that coaches create in their teams. Diplomdarbā tiek padziļināti pētīta pašnoteikšanās teorija un stratēģijas saistībā ar izglītību, sniedzot iespēju skolēnam speciālās izglītības vajadzībām rast vēlmi mācīties, tādējādi uzlabojot savas sekmes un zināšanas. Gadījuma pētījums tika veikts ar vienu skolēnu ar speciālām vajadzībām, strādājot ar un sniedzot izvēles iespējas pieņemt lēmumus; reflektēt; apzināties mācību un personīgās vajadzības un mērķus; un iedrošinot katru dienu, izvirzītie mērķi šādā veidā kļuva īstenojamāki un iespējami. Tika secināts, ka mācot skolēnu ar speciālām vajadzībām, ar darbā izvēlētajām stratēģijām, sniedz labumu gan skolā, gan ārpus tās.
