On a Robin (p,q)-equation with a logistic reaction

We consider a nonlinear nonhomogeneous Robin equation driven by the sum of a \(p\)-Laplacian and of a \(q\)-Laplacian (\((p,q)\)-equation) plus an indefinite potential term and a parametric reaction of logistic type (superdiffusive case). We prove a bifurcation-type result describing the changes in the set of positive solutions as the parameter \(\lambda \gt 0\) varies. Also, we show that for every admissible parameter \(\lambda \gt 0\), the problem admits a smallest positive solution.

Apoptosis is a well-defined cellular process in which a cell dies, characterized by cell shrinkage and DNA fragmentation. In parasites like Leishmania, the process of apoptosis-like cell death has been described. Moreover upon infection, the apoptotic-like population is essential for disease development, in part by silencing host phagocytes. Nevertheless, the exact mechanism of how apoptosis in unicellular organisms may support infectivity remains unclear. Šajā maģistra darbā aplūkoti eponīmi medicīnas tekstos. Pētījuma mērķis bija apskatīt medicīnas tekstos sastopamos eponīmus un raksturot to rašanās veidus un iespējamos sinonīmos variantus. Aplūkotie teorētiskie materiāli aplūko eponīma definīcijas un vārddarināšanas paņēmienus, ar kuriem īpašvārds kļūst par eponīmu, kā arī raksturo eponīmus medicīnas terminoloģijā un to iespējamās tulkošanas problēmas. Mērķa sasniegšanai tika izmantota jaukta kvalitatīvā un kvantitatīvā metode. Tika apkopoti 200 eponīmi, un tika analizēti to etimoni un to skaits, izmantotie vārddarināšanas paņēmieni. This paper analyses the vocabulary of body parts in Cha’palaachi, an Amerindian language of the Republic of Ecuador. A number of basic roots refers to (a) forms or (b) parts of the body, although in some cases reference is made to general areas more than to specific parts. These areas, as well as the general vocabulary of forms, points to the importance of spatial elements in Cha’palaachi, which is also identifiable in other parts of the vocabulary and grammar.
