Diplomdarba mērķis ir izpētīt kā galda spēļu izmantošana var attīstīt skolēnu runāšanas prasmes. Šādas tēmas izvēli pamato autores saskaršanās ar problēmu – skolēniem ir grūti izmantot angļu valodu saziņai angļu valodas stundās. Galda spēļu izmantošana tiek minēta kā nozīmīga runāšanas prasmju uzlabošanā, tādēļ tā tika izmantota autores angļu valodas stundās 4.klases skolēniem. Izmantotā pētījuma metode ir gadījuma pētījums kādas Rīgas sākumskolas 4.klasē. Pētījuma gaitā tika izmantotas tādas datu vākšanas metodes kā aptaujas anketas, esošo zināšanu pārbaude un zināšanu pārbaude pēc metodes pielietošanas. Gold nanoclusters are a peculiar new material with properties between that of bulk metal and single atoms. They show size-dependent evolution of optical and electronic properties sensitive to the change of single atom or single electron in the system. Understanding the relationship between structure and properties is important to both fundamental scientific question of the role of the quantum size effects in small metal-clusters, and to application of nanoclusters in e.g. photonics, nanoelectronics, and heterogeneous catalysis. The Radó–Kneser–Choquet theorem for $p$-harmonic mappings between Riemannian surfaces

In the planar setting the Rad\'o-Kneser-Choquet theorem states that a harmonic map from the unit disk onto a Jordan domain bounded by a convex curve is a diffeomorphism provided that the boundary mapping is a homeomorphism. We prove the injectivity criterion of Rad\'o-Kneser-Choquet for $p$-harmonic mappings between Riemannian surfaces. In our proof of the injecticity criterion we approximate the $p$-harmonic map with auxiliary mappings that solve uniformly elliptic systems. We prove that each auxiliary mapping has a positive Jacobian by a homotopy argument. Tutkielmani käsittelee sukupuolineutraaleja nimiä, eli nimiä, joita voidaan antaa sukupuolesta riippumatta. Kiin-nostukseni kohteena on erityisesti se, luokitteleeko kuulija joka tapauksessa tällaisetkin nimet tietylle sukupuolelle kuuluviksi, vai voidaanko sukupuolineutraalit nimet todella kokea neutraaleiksi. Tutkin myös iän vaikutusta kokemukseen. Tutkimuskysymykseni ovat: 1) Koetaanko niin sanotut sukupuolineutraalit nimet oikeasti kaikille sukupuolille sopiviksi? Unprecedented three-dimensional 1,2,6-thiadiazine 1-oxides have been prepared by an aza-Michael-addition/cyclization/condensation reaction sequence starting from sulfonimidamides and propargyl ketones. The products have been further functionalized by standard cross-coupling reactions, selective bromination of the heterocyclic ring, and conversion into a β-hydroxy substituted derivative. Kontekstem badań było to, że różni komentatorzy Księgi Ezechiela proponują różniące się między sobą struktury badanych tekstów. Większość z nich pracowała (nadal pracuje) metodami diachronicznymi. Zazwyczaj ci autorzy układają wersy w grupy i tym grupom nadają tytuły. Dlatego celem badań stało się odkrycie struktur opartych o wersy tekstu biblijnego. Można wtedy wskazać konkretne wersy (lub ich części, człony), których użył starożytny autor natchniony. Dlatego zastosowano metodę biblijnej retoryki hebrajskiej, która ma 3 etapy: analizę oddolną, analizę odgórną oraz interpretację teologiczną.
