A geometrical criterion for nonexistence of constant-sign solutions for some third-order two-point boundary value problems

We give a simple geometrical criterion for the nonexistence of constant-sign solutions for a certain type of third-order two-point boundary value problem in terms of the behavior of nonlinearity in the equation. We also provide examples to illustrate the applicability of our results.

Con la sentenza n. 16253/2020 la Suprema Corte ha affermato che l’assenza di nesso causale tra la cessazione di un appalto e il licenziamento del lavoratore integra un’ipotesi di manifesta insussistenza del fatto posto alla base del licenziamento - con conseguente applicabilità della tutela reintegratoria attenuta di cui all’art. 18, comma 5, della legge n. 300/1970 - non riconducibile, pertanto, agli altri casi in cui il giudice dichiara risolto il rapporto concedendo la sola tutela indennitaria forte (da dodici a ventiquattro mensilità).

A Perturbed Cauchy Viscoelastic Problem in an Exterior Domain

A Cauchy viscoelastic problem perturbed by an inverse-square potential, and posed in an exterior domain of RN, is considered under a Dirichlet boundary condition. Using nonlinear capacity estimates specifically adapted to the non-local nature of the problem, the potential function and the boundary condition, we establish sufficient conditions for the nonexistence of weak solutions.

Higher order fractional differential equations are important tools to deal with precise models of materials with hereditary and memory effects. Moreover, fractional differential inequalities are useful to establish the properties of solutions of different problems in biomathematics and flow phenomena. In the present work, we are concerned with the nonexistence of global solutions to a higher order fractional differential inequality with a nonlinearity involving Caputo fractional derivative. Nonexistence of solutions to higher order evolution inequalities with nonlocal source term on Riemannian manifolds

We establish sufficient conditions for the nonexistence of nontrivial solutions to higher order evolution inequalities, with respect to the time variable. We consider a nonlocal source term, and work on complete noncompact Riemannian manifolds. The obtained conditions depend on the parameters of the problem and the geometry of the manifold. Our main result recovers some nonexistence theorems from the literature, established in the whole Euclidean space.
