Amphiphiles and, in particular, PEGylated lipids or alkyl ethers represent an important class of non-ionic surfactants and have become key ingredients for long-circulating (“stealth”) liposomes. While poly-(ethylene glycol) (PEG) can be considered the gold standard for stealth-like materials, it is known to be neither a bio-based nor biodegradable material. In this regard, tungestophosphoric acid (PW12) was supported onto cerium-doped NH2-UiO-66 (PW12/Ce-NUiO-66) and employed for the photo-oxidation of dibenzothiophene (DBT) and quinoline (Qu). One of the main challenges in the utilization of MOFs is their crystalline and powdery nature, which makes their use inconvenient in practice. Abstract Effect of Er3+-doping resulting in pronounced mid-IR fluorescence functionality was examined first in chalcohalide 65GeS2-25Ga2S3-10CsCl glass using positron annihilation lifetime (PAL) spectroscopy. The detected PAL spectra were reconstructed from unconstrained x2-term analysis employing two-state simple trapping model for one kind of positron trapping free-volume defects, the parameterization being performed at the example of 65GeS2-25Ga2S3-10CsCl glass doped with 0.6 at. % of Er3+. Tumor targeting using agents with slow pharmacokinetics represents a major challenge in nuclear imaging and targeted radionuclide therapy as they most often result in low imaging contrast and high radiation dose to healthy tissue. To address this challenge, we developed a polymer-based targeting agent that can be used for pretargeted imaging and thus separates tumor accumulation from the imaging step in time. Titanium hexafluoride pretreatments are known to improve paint adhesion and function as a barrier between the coating and the hot dip galvanized (HDG) steel surface. Interactions at the zinc/pretreatment interface are of utmost importance for the formation of pretreatment layers and the corrosion resistance of color coated hot dip galvanized steels. Removal rate of inert aluminum oxide from HDG steel samples by chemical dissolution was studied. XPS measurements showed that the surface Al2O3 layer thickness decreased rapidly already at mild alkaline cleaning, while complete removal of Al required severe etching. Maģistra darba “Bērnu radīšanas atlikšana un to ietekmējošie faktori” mērķis ir noskaidrot, kādi faktori ietekmē bērnu radīšanas atlikšanu. Darbs sastāv no sešām daļām – trīs teorētiskajām, pētījuma metodoloģijas un empīriskā pētījuma analīzes nodaļas, kurai seko pētījuma secinājumi. Pētījuma objekts ir Rīgā dzīvojošas sievietes vecumā 25-40 gadiem ar iegūtu augstāko izglītību bez bērniem. Par pētījuma datu ieguves metodi tika izvēlēts veikt daļēji strukturētas intervijas, kuras tika analizētas ar diskursa analīzi. Kopā tika intervētas vienpadsmit sievietes. Coordination of international aphasia research would minimise duplication of effort, support synergistic international activities across languages and multidisciplinary perspectives, and promote high-quality conduct and reporting of aphasia research, thereby increasing the relevance, transparency, and implementation of findings. The Collaboration of Aphasia Trialists (CATs) sought to develop an aphasia research agenda to direct future research activities, based on priorities shared by people with aphasia, family members, and healthcare professionals. Šī pētījuma mērķis ir izpētīt nenoteiksmes lietojumu Microsoft programmatūras rokasgrāmatās. Šis pētījums var būt noderīgs tehniskajiem rakstniekiem, kuri izstrādā jaunu tehnisko dokumentāciju un lietotājiem, kuri interpretē un veic darbības, kas atbilst lietotāju vajadzībām. Lai veikt pētījumu, tika analizēti nenoteiksmes, diskursa analīze un tehniskā dokumentācijas jēdzieni. Pētījuma mērķa sasniegšanai tika izmantotas kvantitatīvās un kvalitatīvās metodes. Pētījuma rezultāti ir parādījuši, ka visbiežāk sastopamā nenoteiksmes funkcija ir saliktā izteicēja sastāvdaļa. Tajā paša laika, nenoteiksmes vienkāršā aktīvā forma ir visbiežāk sastopamā forma.
Latvijas valsts dibināšanas juridiskais raksturojums

Bakalaura darba mērķis ir analizēt ar Latvijas valsts izsludināšanu saistītos tiesību aspektus un politisko situāciju Baltijas jūras reģionā. Aplūkojamais laika periods ir no 1917. gada līdz 1920. gadam. Mērķa sasniegšanai tiek izvirzīti vairāki uzdevumi: izprast Krievijas impērijas sabrukuma iemeslus un jaunu valstu veidošanās priekšnosacījumus, skaidrot Latvijas valsts izsludināšanas juridiskās īpatnības, kā arī apzināt lielvalstu attieksmi attiecībā uz jauno valstu rašanos Baltijas reģionā un to atdalīšanos no Krievijas impērijas. Darba rezultātā tiek secināts, ka Latvijas Republikas izsludināšana kļuva iespējama pateicoties divu impēriju – Vācijas impērijas un Krievijas impērijas – sabr…
