Ein Verfahren zur Behandlung von Ausgleichsaufgaben mit Intervallkoeffizienten

1976

The windowed scalogram difference: A novel wavelet tool for comparing time series

2017

Abstract We introduce a new wavelet-based tool called windowed scalogram difference (WSD), which has been designed to compare time series. This tool allows quantifying if two time series follow a similar pattern over time, comparing their scalograms and determining if they give the same weight to the different scales. The WSD can be seen as an alternative to another tool widely used in wavelet analysis called wavelet squared coherence (WSC) and, in some cases, it detects features that the WSC is not able to identify. As an application, the WSD is used to examine the dynamics of the integration of government bond markets in the euro area since the inception of the euro as a European single c…

On the path representation of networks

1982

A compact data structure for networks is obtained by storing arcs of paths sequentially. This structure allows forward and backward access from a node to its neighbors.

Parallelization of adaptive MC integrators

2019

Abstract Monte Carlo (MC) methods for numerical integration seem to be embarrassingly parallel on first sight. When adaptive schemes are applied in order to enhance convergence however, the seemingly most natural way of replicating the whole job on each processor can potentially ruin the adaptive behaviour. Using the popular VEGAS-Algorithm as an example an economic method of semi-micro parallelization with variable grain-size is presented and contrasted with another straightforward approach of macro-... Quark Contraction Tool - QCT

2019

We present a Mathematica package for the calculation of Wick contractions in quantum field theories — QCT. The package aims at automatically generating code for the calculation of physical matrix elements, suitable for numerical evaluation in a C++ program. To that end commonly used algebraic manipulations for the calculation of matrix elements in lattice QCD are implemented.

FlexibleSUSY—A spectrum generator generator for supersymmetric models

2019

This program has been imported from the CPC Program Library held at Queen's University Belfast (1969-2018) Abstract We introduce FlexibleSUSY, a Mathematica and C++ package, which generates a fast, precise C++ spectrum generator for any SUSY model specified by the user. The generated code is designed with both speed and modularity in mind, making it easy to adapt and extend with new features. The model is specified by supplying the superpotential, gauge structure and particle content in a SARAH model file; specific boundary conditions e.g. at the GUT, weak or intermediate scales are defined in a separate F... JANE: efficient mapping of prokaryotic ESTs and variable length sequence reads on related template genomes

2009

Abstract Background ESTs or variable sequence reads can be available in prokaryotic studies well before a complete genome is known. Use cases include (i) transcriptome studies or (ii) single cell sequencing of bacteria. Without suitable software their further analysis and mapping would have to await finalization of the corresponding genome. Results The tool JANE rapidly maps ESTs or variable sequence reads in prokaryotic sequencing and transcriptome efforts to related template genomes. It provides an easy-to-use graphics interface for information retrieval and a toolkit for EST or nucleotide sequence function prediction. Furthermore, we developed for rapid mapping an enhanced sequence align…
