This chapter discusses participant-induced elicitation interview (PIE) in the light of two fieldwork cases focusing on Finnish lifestyle blogging and older adults as ICT users. By definition, elicitation refers to a process where something, such as a response, meaning, or answer, is evoked in or drawn out from an interviewee. PIE is based on photo-elicitation, where the interviewee is asked to take photographs dealing with the topics of the research. Osallistujien kokemukset luontoavusteisesta interventiosta

Tämän tutkimuksen tarkoituksena oli kartoittaa Luonnosta Virtaa –ryhmiin osallistuneiden tutkittavien kokemuksia luontoavusteisesta interventiosta. Intervention satunnaistetut osallistujat (N=28) olivat työssäkäyviä 30 - 64 -vuotiaita naisia. Kolmella eri paikkakunnalla toteutuneet interventioryhmät tapasivat viisi kertaa puolentoista tunnin ajan syksyllä 2016. Aineistolähtöisellä sisällönanalyysillä tutkittiin interventioryhmien tapaamisten nauhoitettuja ja litteroituja, noin 15 minuutin pituisia loppukeskusteluja. Statistical modelling of selective non-participation in health examination surveys

Health examination surveys aim to collect reliable information on the health and risk factors of a population of interest. Missing data occur when some invitees do not participate the survey. If non-participation is associated with the variables to be studied, then the estimates based only on the participants cannot be generalised to the population of interest. In this case, the estimates have selection bias, which misleads the decision-makers. The purpose of this thesis is to develop statistical methods to reduce the selection bias in the cross-sectional data using additional data sources.
