Z dziejów muzyki w kościele pw. św. Mikołaja w Nowym Waliszowie na Ziemi Kłodzkiej

Początki kultury muzycznej Nowego Waliszowa związane są z tamtejszą świątynią pw. św. Mikołaja. Już w 1699 r. wyposażono ją w 7-głosowy pozytyw. Obecne organy zostały wybudowane w 1912 r. przez firmę Schlag & Söhne ze Świdnicy. Instrument typu multiplex o pneumatycznej trakturze rejestrów i gry posiada 15 głosów, w tym dziewięć realnych. Niewielka parafia dysponowała także zespołem wokalno-instrumentalnym, który nie tylko dbał o liturgię, ale także organizował koncerty. W 1930 r. liczył 31 chórzystów i 16 instrumentalistów. The study takes up the subject of the history of the Catholic community living in the town of Olesno and the surrounding villages, belonging to the Olesno parish. Thanks to the marriage records in Polish language from 1819-1829, preserved in the National Archives in Opole, it is possible to present using statistical methods: how many weddings took place in the parish in particular months of the year, what day of the week was most often chosen for a wedding, what was the marital status of the newlyweds, their age at the time of marriage, along with their social and geographical origin. The biginnings of musical culture in Stary Wielisław are connected to the parish church of St. Catherine of Alexandria. For centures pilgrims made their wayto the place singing German language hymns. Liturgical customs in Stary Wielisław had a specific character (sung rosary) and certain patterns that had evolved over time (processions). A brass band that accompanied the pilgrims played an important role in them. The traditions of church music were cultivated thanks to the efforts of the local organists as wel as the vocal and instrumental group that was under their direction and whose beginnings reach back to the 17th century. Muzyka kościelna na przełomie XVIII i XIX wieku przeżywała kryzys. Pozycja organisty w społeczeństwie uległa dewaluacji, a za kontuarem zasiedli przypadkowi ludzie. Niezwykle potrzebne w tym momencie okazały się wszelkie materiały przybliżające rolę muzyki w kościele, ale także takie, dzięki którym znający nuty kandydat mógł od razu rozpocząć posługę organisty. Wieloautorska monografia, pod naukową redakcją ks. Piotra Góreckiego, powstała z okazji 350. rocznicy budowy murowano-drewnianego kościoła pw. św. Jerzego w Gliwicach-Ostropie oraz 300. rocznicy jego poświęcenia.
