The bacterial cytolethal distending toxin (CDT) was previously shown to block the cell cycle of several cell lines at stage G2 through inactivation of the cyclin-dependent kinase Cdkl and without induction of DNA strand breaks. In the present study, we have analyzed, using various methods of analytical cytometry, the progressive transformation and delayed lethal events in the tumor-derived HeLa cell line temporarily exposed to CDT. The cell proliferation arrest induced by CDT was irreversible but, starting about two days after exposure, the G2 block released partially, concomitantly with a decline in the level of Cdkl phosphorylation. AbstractThis paper reported thermal properties of ethylene copolymers with di- and tri-alkenylsilsesquioxanes (POSS) synthesized by bis(phenoxy-imine) Ti, Zr, V, and V salen-type complexes. Ethylene copolymers with multi-alkenyl POSS obtained by such complexes contain multi-alkenyl POSS incorporated into the polymer chain as a side group. En nous basant sur la théorie de l'agence, nous considérons que les conseils sont de meilleure qualité lorsqu'ils comprennent une fraction élevée d'administrateurs indépendants et/ou lorsque les fonctions de direction générale et de présidence du conseil sont dissociées. Dielectric spectroscopy of an aligned liquid crystalline side chain polymer using high pressures

Abstract The complex permittivity of a liquid crystalline side group polymer has been measured at pressure from ambient up to 300 MPa. The samples were initially not aligned, then planar and finally homeotropically aligned by the field of a 7.2 Tesla magnet. Temperatures ranged up to 130°C, and measurement frequencies from 5 Hz to 5 MHz. The equilibrium permittivity es has been interpreted in terms of an effective dipole moment μ. The frequency of maximum loss has been analysed in terms of enthalpy of activation and volume of activation for α and β relaxation processes.
