Gaze cueing in naturalistic scenes under top-down modulation – Effects on gaze behaviour and memory performance

Humans as social beings rely on information provided by conspecifics. One important signal in social communication is eye gaze. The current study (n = 93) sought to replicate and extend previous findings of attentional guidance by eye gaze in complex everyday scenes. In line with previous studies, longer, more and earlier fixations for objects cued by gaze compared to objects that were not cued were observed in free viewing conditions. Test of the European Joint Research Centre performance model for c-Si PV modules

The performance of ten c-Si PV modules is studied at different levels of illumination and module temperatures and is modeled in terms of relative efficiency with respect to Standard Testing Conditions (STC). A recently proposed model is tested in Nordic conditions for generic mono- and mc-Si devices with screen-printed cells as well as for some high-efficiency cell designs. Two of the modules are field aged. Averaged model coefficients are derived and compared to values found in the literature. Irradiance and module temperatures measured in 2011 are then used to estimate the expected annual energy yields. Abstract The integration of superconductive nanowire logic memories and energy efficient computing Josephson logic is explored. Nanowire memories are based on the integration of switchable superconducting nanowires with a suitable magnetic material. These memories exploit the electro-thermal operation of the nanowires to efficiently store and read a magnetic state. Quality control of pharmaceuticals containing non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs by micellar liquid chromatography

A liquid chromatographic procedure is described for the determination of acemetacin, diclofenac, indomethacin, ketoprofen, nabumetone, naproxen, piketoprofen, and tolmentin in pharmaceutical preparations. The compounds were separated on a Kromasil C18 analytical column, with a guard column of similar characteristics; the mobile phase was 0.06 M cetyltrimethylammonium bromide, at pH 7, containing 10% 1-butanol. At a flow rate of 1 mL min−1 the elution time of the most retained compound was 23 min. Limits of detection were between 0.01 μ g mL−1 for diclofenac and 0.2 μ g mL−1 for naproxen. A Maintenance Performance Measurement model based on the use of Maintenance Key Performance Indicators (MKPIs) is proposed in the present paper. Referring to a specific industrial context, a multi-level hierarchical structure is firstly designed to highlight the most meaningful perspectives which affect the maintenance performance. Then, MKPIs selected from the literature or properly formulated to detail some particular perspective of the investigated maintenance process are assigned to the hierarchical framework and prioritized by a Fuzzy Technique for Order of Preference by Similarity to Ideal Solution (FTOPSIS) and Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP)-based approach.
