Common ragweed (Ambrosia artemisiifolia L.) has been detected in France in the middle of the XIXth century. It has spread throughout the territory during the XXth century with a critical evolution. Public policies have not been able to contain this spread at the moment, and it is now difficult to find ways to tackle the invasion. Publication of national and regional maps seems to be an effective tool to draw up an overview of the situation and build management strategies. Andrea Camilleri used to say he regretted that his novels were seen by his readers as more entertaining than thought-provoking. For his work carries a militant message and far-left ideas. In his narratives, the author deconstructs traditional schemes and definitions and proposes to read reality through other prisms. Thus, in his two novels Il ladro di merendine and L’altro capo del filo, Camilleri deconstructs and redefines the concept of ‘clandestinity’, both through inventio and through symbolic objects. The boundary shifts: it no longer separates the licit from the illicit but the intimate from the visible.
Les genres littéraires, des lieux de mémoire?

Cette conférence invitée partait de la notion de "lieux de mémoire", définie et popularisée par Pierre Nora et al. à propos de l'histoire de France, pour s'interroger sur la capacité de la littérature à transmettre certaines formes de mémoire et à faire ressurgir l'indicible. Après une introduction générale définissant le concept de lieu de mémoire, il s'agissait d'examiner deux cas différents: un genre international, la littérature policière, et un genre spécifiquement sud-africain, le "roman de la ferme". Dans les deux cas, l'objectif était de montrer que ces genres sont des genres mémoriels, en indiquant les mécanismes par lesquels chacun mobilise la mémoire et fait ressurgir l'indicible.
