Shift-Invariant Canonical Polyadic Decomposition of Complex-Valued Multi-Subject fMRI Data with a Phase Sparsity Constraint

Canonical polyadic decomposition (CPD) of multi-subject complex-valued fMRI data can be used to provide spatially and temporally shared components among groups with both magnitude and phase information. However, the CPD model is not well formulated due to the large subject variability in the spatial and temporal modalities, as well as the high noise level in complex-valued fMRI data. Considering that the shift-invariant CPD can model temporal variability across subjects, we propose to further impose a phase sparsity constraint on the shared spatial maps to denoise the complex-valued components and to model the inter-subject spatial variability as well. Investigations into the compositional heterogeneity of ethylene/1-hexene copolymers obtained with various zirconocene/MAO catalysts, either homogeneous or supported on inorganic carriers such as a complex of magnesium chloride with tetrahydrofuran or methyl alcohol, were conducted. The dependence between metallocene structure, as well as catalyst immobilization, and the compositional heterogeneity of the related products was investigated. It was found that the heterogeneity of copolymers is determined by the metallocene catalyst structure. Alkylsilyl compounds as enablers of atomic layer deposition: analysis of (Et3Si)3As through the GaAs process

A new chemistry has been developed to deposit GaAs, the quintessential compound semiconductor. The ALD process is based on a dechlorosilylation reaction between GaCl3 and (Et3Si)3As. Characteristic ALD growth was demonstrated, indicating good applicability of the alkylsilyl arsenide precursor. ALD of GaAs produced uniform, amorphous and stoichiometric films with low impurity content. This was done with saturating growth rates and an easily controlled film thickness. Crystallization was achieved by annealing.
