"I just cursed and opened a beer" : Explaining Mobile Users' Non-Complaining Behavior Through Coping
2015
Many users experience frustrating incidents with mobile applications. However, most users do not complain about their highly negative incidents to the application providers. Such dissatisfied non-complainers cause damage to application providers: they tend to exit, switch, and spread negative word-of-mouth. Therefore, it is important to understand why mobile users do not complain about their highly negative incidents. Within information systems (IS), there are no explanations for this dilemma. To address this gap, we conducted a qualitative study. By utilizing the theory of coping as a theoretical lens, we generated a mobile-specific theory that comprises problem-focused and emotion-focused…

The processes of institutionalization and objectification of post-agricultural can be made clearer by deconstructing and making the procedures triggered by the application of rules imposed by the transnational bureaucratic machine of the European Union problematic and conflicting. The construction of competitive narratives between local and global, which according to the dominant rhetoric would produce unequivocal locality, defined in its relational and contextual aspects, are the basis of the institutionalized development aid system which, just like in colonialism, becomes a field of cultural protest and construction of the neighborhood ethnorami.

The research aim of the article is to determine the legal rules related to marriage in the earliest writings of the primary Christianity, that is dated to the post-apostolic period and to the activities of the apologists of the IIth century. In turn, the writings of later generations, especially apologists, contain observations of a legal nature and lay down rules that have the character of permanent tendencies, which became the basis for legal regulations at l…
Information Security Risk Assessments following Cybersecurity Breaches : The Mediating Role of Top Management Attention to Cybersecurity
2023
Information Systems (IS) research on managerial response to cybersecurity breaches has largely focused on externally oriented actions such as customer redressal and crisis response. Within the firm itself, a breach may be a symptom of systematic problems, and a narrow, siloed focus on only fixing immediate issues through technical fixes and controls might preclude other managerial actions to ensure future cybersecurity. Towards this end, Information Security Risk Assessments (ISRA) can help surface other vulnerabilities following a breach. While the role of governance in such exercises is emphasized in standards, it is undertheorized in IS research and lacks empirical evidence. We draw on t…
Contradictions of Gender and ‘Imaginative’ Representations of a (Post-)colonial Nation. E. Brodber’s Myal, A. Roy’s The God of Small Things and B. Ev…
2006
The article illustrates the ways in which the productive theoretical conflation of feminist critique and (post)colonial studies makes it possible to demonstrate that the implications of the category of gender and 'race' allow Erna Brodber's Myal (1988), Bernardine Evaristo's Lara (1997) and Arundhati Roy's The God of Small Things (1997) to contribute to imaginatively reshaping the postcolonial nation.

Fresh-Cut Mangoes: How to Increase Shelf Life by Using Neem Oil Edible Coating
2022
The mango is the most widely cultivated tropical fruit. Fresh-cut mango is very useful, but it is very perishable. The purpose of this study was to highlight the effects of neem oil on fresh-cut mango fruits kept for 9 days at 4 ± 1 °C and 80 ± 5% relative humidity. The neem plant (Azadirachta indica) has numerous antioxidant and antibacterial properties. Despite this, very few studies have been carried out on neem oil added to edible coatings (EC) to retard ripening processes. Two formulations were tested: EC1 (hydroxypropyl methylcellulose + CaCl2) and EC2 (hydroxypropyl methylcellulose + CaCl2 + neem oil), both compared with an untreated sample (control). Physicochemica…
