In this article, the research topic is to develop an evaluation model for social work with substance abusers. It is studied by presenting an example of how the evaluation process could be carried out in practice. The study has been implemented with the Department of Social Services and Health Care’s Centre for Recovering Substance Abusers in Finland (RSA Centre). The term “evaluation model” refers to a way of collecting client follow-up information and the way the information is used to develop social work practices. In Burgundy, the enclosure is strongly linked to the viticulture. Nevertheless, its meaning, its origin and its history remain quite unknown. This paper proposes a survey in medieval and modern sources in order to question the chronology of the practice and its value (or values) on the Côte de Nuits and the Côte de Beaune. On the Burgundian hillside, the rhythm of enclosure appearances is discontinuous: it is marked by two major peaks, one at the turn of the 12th and 13th centuries, the other between the 19th and 20th centuries. Lähisuhdeväkivaltaan puuttuminen terveydenhuollossa on haasteellinen ja kiistanalainen kysymys. Tässä artikkelissa käsittelemme lähisuhdeväkivallan kohtaamisen tapoja erikoissairaanhoidossa. Aineistona on kuusi erikoissairaanhoidon ammattilaisten fokusryhmähaastattelua. Taustateoriana ja menetelmänä käytämme Erving Goffmanin arkielämän vuorovaikutustilanteiden tutkimiseen kehittämää kehysanalyysia. Interest in studying teaching practices has increased, because of the need to evaluate teachers and dissatisfaction with the usual ways of doing it. Recent approaches with Value-Added Models, based on students’ results on achievement tests do not seem satisfactory. The article is based on a review of literature and classifies the approaches to practices in three groups: instruments based on information given by teachers; observation protocols; and approaches based on the analysis of products of the practices. In this paper we build on the debates on cross-national transfer of management practices in MNCs, and especially examine how internal and external institutional pressures shape the way MNCs’ HRM practices evolve upon new market entry. In our longitudinal case study we examine the evolution of multinational hard discounter Lidl’s labour relations in Finland between 2002-2012. We show how Lidl Finland’s entry to Finnish markets was labelled by constant struggles between cross-border standardization and local adaptation of labour practices.
