Mutations in the Ki-ras and TP53 genes are the most frequently observed genetic alterations in colorectal cancer (CRC). Ki-ras mutations are mostly found in codons 12 and 13, and less in codon 61. The majority of the TP53 mutations occur in the core domain which contains the sequence-specific DNA binding activity of the protein, and they results in loss of DNA binding. Few centres have sufficient patients to collect detailed information in the large numbers required to determine the impact of individual ki-ras and TP53 genotypes on outcome. We determined the distribution of optimal C-arm positions and assessed their feasibility by invasive coronary angiography. In this paper a new technique for classification of patients affected by Crohnâs disease (CD) is proposed. The proposed technique is based on a Kernel Support Vector Machine (KSVM) and it adopts a Stratified K-Fold Cross-Validation strategy to enhance the KSVM classifier reliability. While dyspnea is a common symptom in patients admitted to Chest Pain Units (CPUs) little is known about the impact of dyspnea on their outcome. The purpose of this study was to evaluate the impact of dyspnea on the short-term outcome of CPU patients.We analyzed data from a total of 9169 patients admitted to one of the 38 participating CPUs in this registry between December 2008 and January 2013. We present a case of a 59-year-old man who was admitted to the hospital because of atypical chest pain and dyspnea. Conventional coronary angiography showed an anomalous origin of the right coronary artery from the pulmonary trunk. The patient underwent multislice computed tomography in order to clarify the origin and course of the anomalous vessel. The aim of this report is to emphasize the role of multislice computed tomography as an accurate noninvasive imaging tool in the evaluation of coronary artery anomalies.
