This paper offers a reflection on the expected competencies identified through the formulation of the Dublin descriptors of the CdS in Education Sciences (L-19) and Primary Education Sciences (LM-85bis) established at the University of Palermo and in the same time to propose a model for the development of professional maturity necessary to ensure informed mature and responsible choices. Use of semipermeable membrane devices for monitoring pesticides in indoor air.

Abstract In this work, 40 pesticides from different categories were analyzed in the air of 20 indoor places that have an intensive use of pesticides. Passive sampling was carried out by using semipermeable membrane devices (SPMDs) deployed for 7 days. SPMDs were analyzed using microwave-assisted extraction and GC/MS. PCB-195 was used as an internal standard. Recoveries ranged between 81 and 108 for many compounds, with RSD values <11. Typical LOD values for 7 days of sampling were from 0.1 to 3.1 ng/m. Propamocarb, propoxur, carbosulfan, pirimicarb, metribuzin, metalaxyl, pendimethalin, oxadiazon, phenothrin, and permethrin were detected in 11 sampling sites, with air concentrations …

Una escultura de José Esteve Bonet en La Orotava (Tenerife)

En septiembre de 1784 el escultor José Esteve Bonet concluía una imagen de Santa Catalina de Siena que fue remitida a la isla de Tenerife semanas después, gracias a la mediación del canónigo de Xátiva Miguel Lobera. De ese destino, el responsable del ajuste, el dinero pagado por ella y las cualidades que mostraba como pieza vestidera hay constancia en un apunte que incluye el diario o Libro de la Verdad, documento de vital importancia a la hora de conocer la actividad de su taller entre 1762 y 1802. En este artículo proponemos la identificación de dicha obra con una escultura transformada y alterada en lo iconográfico, que forma parte del patrimonio acumulado durante el siglo XIX por la act…
