Human language enables us to externalise self-internal information (e.g. emotions or beliefs that are not readily accessible to others). Thus, language bridges the gap between the self and the other (e.g. Frith and Frith, 2010) in a way that possibly no other communication system can provide. In many languages, the difference between the self and others is directly reflected in the distinction between first (“I”), second (“you”) and third person (“he, she”) marking. In the present study, we compared ERPs to first, second and third person pronouns during the comprehension of an audio-book version of The Little Prince. En aquest article defenso que la distribució restringida dels pronoms forts en les oracions existencials del català és la conseqüència, no pas de l'Efecte de Definitud, com s'ha assumit de manera habitual, sinó de la combinació de les condicions informatives que imposa l'oració existencial, que requereix que el pivot sigui contrastiu, amb la naturalesa pragmàtica del contrast en les formes pronominals, que impedeix la lectura contrastiva justament en aquesta posició. Tras una breve introduccion teorica sobre el tema y la explicacion de la metodologia utilizada, ofrecemos los resultados en terminos porcentuales. Pero, al tratarse de un fenomeno en el que intervienen multiples factores al mismo tiempo, hemos realizado tambien un analisis de regresion, que permite ver los resultados cuando todos los factores actuan de manera simultanea. Prepositions and pronouns in connected discourse of individuals with aphasia

The lexical-grammatical divide has been a widely addressed topic in aphasia. Speech parts are generally classified as either belonging to a lexical or a grammatical category based on the frequency of acquisition of new members in their paradigms (open vs. closed classes), thus neglecting heterogeneity within categories. Such an approach has led to contradictory findings. First, prepositions form closed classes, but are classically taken as lexical items. Pronouns, also belonging to a closed class, are analyzed as grammatical elements. Two Types of pseudo-clefts?

Sentences such as 'What Fred does is complain' and 'What Fred does is important' have both been labeled as pseudo-clefts, though of two distinct types. We provide four tests to structurally distinguish such constructions. Entailment patterns and a number of structural ties between the post-copular constituent and specific constituents of the pre-copular relative clause suggest using the label ‘pseudo-cleft’ for the former type only. Šīs bakalaura darba mērķis ir analizēt savstarpēju saziņas funkciju rīcības kodeksā, lai identificētu rīcības kodeksā dominējošo savstarpējas saziņas funkciju veidu. Pētījuma metode ir literatūras aptauja un kvalitatīva analīze, kā arī savstarpējas saziņas funkcijas kvantitatīva analīze. Analīze tika veikta, lai palīdzētu labāk izprast tekstu. This paper discusses the pronominal system of Louisiana French, a variety of French spoken mainly in the south-western part of Louisiana State.
 The analysis of data (Girard Lomheim, 2016) shows that although Louisiana French clitics share certain features with clitics from other informal varieties of French and dialects of French, they cannot be analysed along quite the same lines. They have reached a more advanced stage of grammaticalization. They are moving away from the status of syntactic argument towards the status of agreement marker. Erityisesti poliittiset diskurssit ovat merkittävä tutkimuksen kohde, sillä ne saavuttavat usein suuren yleisön. Koska poliitikoilla on näkyvä rooli yhteiskunnassa, on tärkeää tutkia, millaisia asenteita, ideologioita ja arvoja he levittävät puheidensa välityksellä.
