Bakalaura darbs “Rasisma izpausme mūsdienu reklāmā: semiotiskā analīze” izstrādāts ar mērķi noskaidrot ar rasi saistītu konfliktu veidošanos nekorektu vai noniecinošu attieksmi pret kādu rasi, kas noved pie publiskas rezonanses un konfliktiem, kā arī izpētīt reklāmas ar rasisma izplatību no 2016. gada līdz 2020. gadam. Darba teorētiskajā daļā tiek aprakstīta semiotikas teorija, rasisma teorija un reklāmas teorija. Darbā tiek aplūkoti rasisma cēloņi. Pētījums veikts izmantojot anketēšanu, kvalitatīvo un kvantitatīvo kontentanalīzi, kas balstīta uz semiotikas analīzi. Nazwy własne (antroponimy, toponimy, chrematonimy i in.), których liczba w zasobach języka przekracza liczbę nazw pospolitych, z reguły nie są utrwalane w słownikach, ani jednojęzycznych, ani przekładowych. Tytuły utworów literackich, muzycznych, malarskich czy filmowych należą do zbioru nazw własnych, których główną funkcją jest identyfikowanie poszczególnych obiektów (dzieł sztuki). Tym samym tytuły należą do klasy reproduktów, gdyż w tekstach muszą być reprodukowane w ustalonej dla danego języka formie. Tworzy to istotny problem dla tłumaczy, zwłaszcza w przekładzie tekstów, które zawierają w sobie tytuły. W artykule stawiana jest teza, że wprowadzanie tytułów do słowników ogólnych i/lub tworzenie specjalnych słowników przekładowych mogłoby rozwiązać ten problem translatorski. The mevalonate pathway is important for the generation of isoprene moieties thereby providing the basis for the biosynthesis of molecules required for maintaining membrane integrity, steroid production and cell respiration. Additionally, isoprene precursors are indispensable for the prenylation of regulatory proteins such as Ras and Ras-homologous (Rho) GTPases. Activation of c-Jun N-terminal kinases (JNKs) and nuclear factor-kappaB (NF-kappaB) are early cellular responses to genotoxic stress involved in the regulation of gene expression. Pretreatment of cells with the hydroxymethyl glutaryl-CoA reductase inhibitor lovastatin blocked stimulation of JNK1 activity by UV irradiation and by treatment with the alkylating compound methyl methanesulfonate but did not affect activation of extracellular signal-regulated kinase 2 by UV light. Lovastatin also attenuated UV-induced degradation of the NF-kappaB inhibitor IkappaBalpha. A novel virtual screening methodology called fragment‐ and negative image‐based (F‐NiB) screening is introduced and tested experimentally using phosphodiesterase 10A (PDE10A) as a case study. Potent PDE10A‐specific small‐molecule inhibitors are actively sought after for their antipsychotic and neuroprotective effects. Frailty is an aging-related pathology, defined as a state of increased vulnerability to stressors, leading to a limited capacity to meet homeostatic demands. Extracellular microRNAs (miRNAs) were proposed as potential biomarkers of various disease conditions, including age-related pathologies. The primary objective of this study was to identify blood miRNAs that could serve as potential biomarkers and candidate mechanisms of frailty. Using the Fried index, we enrolled 22 robust and 19 frail subjects. Blood and urine samples were analysed for several biochemical parameters. Se pretende llamar la atención sobre un par de frases que aparecen justo hacia la mitad de la controvertida doxografía de Aristóteles que se puede leer en las Vidas y doctrinas de los filósofos más ilustres de Diógenes Laercio V 31, y que desde luego no corresponden a ningún sistema doxográfico conocido. Como sucede no pocas veces en la obra laerciana, la misma apreciación sobre si el filósofo debe o no enamorarse y contraer matrimonio se repite idéntica en otras doxografías completamente distintas: la cirenaica (DL II 91), la estoica (DL VII 129) y la epicúrea (DL X 118).
